Either way though, I didn't do a good job last night; I... was not sober, let's put it that way. High on love for Scarlett ![]()

Either way though, I didn't do a good job last night; I... was not sober, let's put it that way. The bitter, deadpan unsobriety of your casting caught me at exactly the right moment. I'd just been philosophising on how blandly 'objective' and 'descriptive' casting, lacking character and honesty, seemed to me to be a problem in the emerging Starcraft casting market. I don't think we have a Hunter S. Thompson of Starcraft, just yet. In many sports, fans relish in certain completely over the top, opinionated, larger than life personalities who absolutely do not provide a journalistic, impersonal description of what in point of fact is going on, but lay themselves bare and let their persona be part of the experience. Obviously, that exists to varying degrees, and each degree has its place. Often, it's just gratifying to have a sportscaster who's ever so slightly a bit of a homer. Mostly unbiased. Mostly accurate. But clearly rooting for the same team you are. Other times, a Don Cherry or a Hunter S. Thompson is great. So flamboyantly out there that the game is hardly the point, and their personality takes over completely. Most good sports casters fall somewhere in between those two extremes. But few Starcraft casters do. Your drunken casting accidentally stumbled into my pondering on what Hunter S. Thompson Starcraft casting would be like. And I thoroughly enjoyed the experiment! Because for once, perhaps for the first time, when I started saying to myself "what the hell is this player doing?" you basically said "what the hell is this player doing?" The sort of thing a caster just isn't supposed to say. Hah! And why not?

The sort of thing a caster just isn't supposed to say. Hah! And why not? I don't honestly think I was that different in terms of personality (besides the part where I got bored and started casting on x8 speed...), it basically just resulted in me having worse observing and getting distracted easily. I appreciate the compliment, though. ![]() Corp as the hunter s thomas of esports. We send him to ipl 5 in las vegas to cover the event and he comes back with novel about the american dream and how much drugs he took. I think I'd probably end up dropping a dozen tabs to see what SC2 is like when you're tripping, get scared of the crowd, and wake somewhere in the Nevada desert wearing nothing but my ESPORTS t-shirt

O_O. I also watched a gem she had against Select. Her ZvT sure is scary. She makes most Zergs like Idra look like Chobo. Sign me up.+ Show Spoiler + I was thinking about switching to Zerg. I might actually do it now.
