I'm seeing red! harharhar Update: Summary below. + Show Spoiler + They say the tg thing is the least notable thing about her and that her play is genuinely impressive. Note the buzz about team offers. Acknowledge it is only one result, but can't not be impressed. Apparently everyone is asking teams if they are picking her up, and SirScoots says you can't make a career on one result. Watching her play he says she looks like she plays solid, it wasn't cheesy play or anything, which suggest she has real promise, but there have to be a series of solid results for serious teams to take her seriously. He also notes sometimes it can be sort of easier if you come in as an unknown, eg. when she was given the regame, which probably wouldn't have happened if she had been perceived as a Real Threat. They think dm was unwise to give her a regame. (Obviously :D .) But still regame aside she beat him no ifs no buts. They comment that mostly the community has been mature about the tg aspects of the story. Like pretty much all of the Scarlett coverage I've seen in the community, it was positive. SirScoots made fair points, contra the "so much hype" crit above. For anyone interested, here's the VOD for Live On Three: http://www.twitch.tv/onemoregametv/b/314692505 , starting at 1:00:36 for discussion about Scarlett.

You have players like IMMvp rating below Sheth (he's "anonymous"), as well as players like LosirA and Zenio topping the chart. EAPM is essentially a measure of whether you spam clicks or keyboard presses more; a lot of the time, players with high EAPM have it because every time they tell a unit to move they're clicking five times, whereas the player with lower EAPM but higher standard APM is spending that time tapping their production facilities instead of clicking. It's just an awful statistic, I guess, is what I'm trying to say. Having 200 APM is somewhat "slow" for a pro, there's no real way around it. I've averaged out to 200 APM over 20-minute games, and I'm barely in diamond league. That's not to say that being slow means that you're bad; Flash averages around 300 APM which is "slow" relative to the people he's playing against, but he still beats 70% of them. I think you might be wrong, but not sure. I believe EAPM doesn't count the five clicks you use to command a unit to move, which would be counted by simply APM. Which is why your EAPM is ALWAYS lower than your APM, and lets you calculate the redundancy of clicks. Granted, I'm not discounting the deductions you can make from someone who spams alot, it obviously helps keep you moving and thinking at a quick pace, but I'm not suprised that Losira, who is simply a high APM player would also have high EAPM. Not implying anything about skill level or comparisons, I just think we might have different understandings of EAPM.

The issue isn't really which one is better, it's that both are arbitrary and provide little information abut a game that while it does require speed also requires strategy and tactics. In the end you may as well use the raw data because if they are both corrupted and arbitrary the data that has been modified by a single persons opinion on what is considered redundant is doubly arbitrary. example : many move commands in the same spot are useless. But having a pattern of repeating control groups or camera hotkeys allows a player to see information more frequently. The better player is the one that wins. I don't even care if they all inned.

EAPM counts repeated clicks, what it doesn't count is when you switch your control groups while "tapping" (ie when you're going 14151617 to check if your production facilities are building stuff) without actually building anything. edit: the guy above me put it best. Both aren't that useful information-wise as long as you have enough APM to do what you need to (I'd say around ~200), but EAPM is worse because the way it's measured is fairly subjective (and, in my opinion, flawed).

Btw, sc2gears has a different definition for eapm than Blizzard, that's more adapt at filtering out spam while keeping meaningful actions.

I'm curious about the same thing, and don't even know how to quantify what would be best.... but the fluff answer in the back of my mind is a foreigner team with the option of Korea. Congrats!@!

Congrats!@! Would be my choice too. The Koreans are joining foreigner teams because there's more money and chances to go to events in a foreign team. But only if they allow you to go to Korea to practice.

Canadian Zergs will at last have a national hero on a pro team, it seems. Mostly, we've gotten Toss players, in the past. Funny thing that another notable Canadian Zerg these days is DaSakura, another top female player (though one Scarlett has beaten).
