Sorry, I always am that pessimistic, but at least it reduces my disappointment... ![]()

Stephano 1-2 Hero: A little off form but he didn't look so bad; in game 2 he picked two pretty bad fights even though he had a lead. In game 3 he generally did everything right but he just was a little off with his control and lost too many lings without inflicting any damage. That push is very holdable; sniper just held it on DayBreak against Parting at this GSL and Hyun and DRG both smashed Creator when he tried his hand at it. He's just not in top form, but there's no shame in losing to Hero. GL in the loser's bracket.

Also I'm disappointed that he didn't hold that build in game 3. I don't buy that that build is super-hard to hold for a top tier zerg like Stephano. Sniper, DRG and Hyun all absolutely crushed that build against arguably better Protosses in this season's GSL. Still, Stephano didn't look that bad (other than his engagements in game 2); he's just a little bit off from his peak form. It's like his star sense is a bit hazy. A couple weeks of practice and he's going to be back on top. I'm also not sure the way he uses infestors is optimal in two ways -- one he kept headbutting them against forcefields where they could be hit by Collosuses (that's just not what you want to do) and two it seems that the top Koreans have determined that ITs are generally the way to go when you want to break a Protoss. In the second engagement near Hero's fourth on Ohana, he lost a bunch of infestors and only launched a few fungals, which did very little. Spamming ITs might have been the way to go, although that wasn't a fight Stephano was meant to win in any event. In hindsight, simply turtling in game 2 a bit and just getting his blords out should have won him the game.

game one was pretty cool, even tho he could have made a ton of spines to secure his 4th base~ he really should have won game two but he committed too much on roachs/lings without having a proper drone count (60ish is too low for this kind of aggressive style I think) and his infestor control was, sadly, poor. about game three he tried to bait forcefield a lot but HerO played well and didn't make mistakes. I really think you need roach speed to counter that build (if you intend to build roaches) so his late lair was painful imo. as someone above me said, if he trains a bit I think he could go back to his peak form with his great unit control, hopefully! any idea who he is going to play against @LB?
