I'm so relieved Bomber took the series 2-0 and didn't have to play on Dual Sight. I wonder why he dislikes it so much?
I can't wait to see him play against NesTea. That's going to be such a sick TvZ.
I also beg to differ lol! =p
Super happy NesTea won so we get that amazing match in R32. Very much hoping Bomber can come out victorious there, but as long as it's a close and entertaining series I won't be bitterly disappointed if NesTea comes out on top.
We should have some kind of Bomber fan face off to figure out who really is his biggest fan. I vote for an interpretive dance battle.
Actually wait - I made the fan club so I win by default. I could just always take your names off the list! =P
If Bomber can get past NesTea, he'll face TOP, August, Zenio or Choya. I don't see any of those players beating Bomber, nor do I see any of his potential Ro8 opponents beating him. He'll make it to the semis for sure if he can get past NesTea.
The other two heavyweights, Mvp and MKP are obviously big threats, but I have confidence that Bomber will be able to overcome them. To be honest, the only player I'm really scared of is SlayerS_Alicia.
What do you guys think?
you're waving off nestea still, you can't just say IF, you gotta deal with the fact that he's up against the GSL champion right now and yes, that'll be the hardest matchup for this side of the bracket. He has a decent shot against MVP and MKP, and I would be more scared of those two than Alicia as a bomber fan
I don't think I was waving NesTea off, I'm sorry if it seemed that way. I just didnt want to go into a big paragraph on how NesTea is a big threat blah blah blah because I've felt that I said it enough recently, so I just said 'if' he can beat NesTea.
And after seeing Bomber tear through Ryung, MMA and Mvp recently, I'm feeling pretty confident in his TvT. =)
Bomber's vP and vZ may look downright spectacular looking at his winrates with those matchups, but if you look at the players he's beaten, he actually looks pretty untested against tip top P and Z players. He beat MC about 4 months ago, but he also felt it necessary to try to cheese out MC in the recent team league, which indicates a lack of confidence in a macro game against him (which surprised me a lot - Bomber's macro is SICK good and I'm pretty sure he could go toe to toe with MC in a macro game).
Anyway, that's why I feel that Nestea and Alicia will be his two biggest obstacles (assuming Alicia makes it far enough). I also feel that MVP definitely didn't play his best in the Code A finals so it'll be interesting to see a rematch between them if that happens. But this could easily be Bomber's GSL to win.

Well it's also more than likely that the game against MC could've just been a sniping game.

Haha that would be mean! I had actually started an OP when you posted the fc, but was hesitant to post it after Jjun came pretty close to cheesing him out lol
*shakes fist at Jjun*
Just thinking about how close that got for a minute makes me cross =p

Yup, the winner of Bomber/Nestea is very likely to make the quarters, and will be a favourite going through to the semis as well. Alicia in the semis would be scary, but it would also be an awesome match up and a chance for some long overdue payback for the March qualifers =)

To be fair, he's 4-5 vs MVP with most of those games coming at YGosu when MC was destroying Terrans left, right, and centre. I think it's rather more likely that they came up with a strategy to snipe MC for his tendency towards greedy builds, and it just panned out that Bomber ended up being the one left to try take him out and MC scouted + defended well when it came down to it.
I do think his TvZ is probably going to be his weakest match up since he seems to have got a handle on TvT nowadays, which is why I think NesTea will be an absolutely massive test. He was still playing heavy heavy bio in the match up till recently, and while we've seen sC make a relentless assault work, we've seen DRG remind us of just how dead it can feel in a more standard game when he overran MKP.
Chances are he'll be very competitive, if not win, his mechanics are too good not to put up a fight and I'm sure he knows how to play marine/tank, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit worried about it =p
Kind of unfortunate for bomber fans that the seeding is done as of the results to all GSLs rather than the latest ones, otherwise the brackets would never have bomber in a game like this in Ro32 >.>

I think you're underestimating Zenio but other than that you're good.
bittman - thank you for those videos! I'm going to bed right now so I don't have time to update the OP, but as soon as I get a chance tomorrow I'll go through iCCup TV's youtube channel and upload everything of Bomber I can find.
I just had a quick look and saw at least one interview, so I'll put all that up when I get back on my computer tomorrow.
buzzkill569 - neither would I! He's the best player there IMO, and even if you (not referring to you specifically, I'm using 'you' as a plural) disagree with that, you have can't deny that he's very very close to whoever you'd consider better.
Asha` - Wow I knew I was pushing it, holding back on making the fanclub for so long. I didn't know I was that close to losing the opportunity!
Man that last game vs. Jjun still scares me. I watched it again a day or so ago and realised that Bomber was never really in a position to lose, but still.
If Bomber lost that game, he would have been out of Code A, which means he wouldn't have qualified for Code S, nor the Super Tournament, and he would have had to fight his way back into Code A, which everyone says is ridiculously hard to do. He also may very well have been overlooked when MLG was issuing invites to Columbus, although I can't be sure on that one.
CosmicSpiral - Yeah you may have a point there. Statistically Zenio is awful ZvT, but he showed some pretty amazing play against Jinro. But the way I see it, to face Zenio, Bomber's going to have to beat NesTea. If he can beat NesTea I don't envision Zenio causing many problems for him.
MrSweetNess - the way they do it is for the best, I mean it ensures the proven players get a spot, but you're right, it does kinda suck for Bomber and NesTea fans. I would have loved to see those two go far. Now only Bomber will! Haha =P
Also, just a note to everyone reading this, make sure you overtly state that you want to be signed up if you want to be added to the memberlist!

No I totally agree. I made the point on one of the GSL threads that this is the best way to seed the GSL, it gives the proven players over time the respect they deserve for being so consistant. I was just saying that it is disappointing for Bomber that he came in so late and didn't have a chance to show that same consistancy as players such as Mvp and Nestea who have been given a place in the top 16 seedings ^^
Game 1 was really epic. Nestea played fantastic, and yet Bomber looked so close at times to breaking him.
Unfortunately, Game 2 was a bit terribad with the 4 in gas + siege tank w/o Siege mode push =S. Still love his play, but sometimes it's obvious he just loses games because his focus drops, whether from nerves or otherwise.

Oh well, entertaining games at least and I'm sure he can take some good lessons from both of them ^^
Hopefully he doesn't feel down going into Columbus
Yeah, NesTea played well. No shame in losing to the best Zerg in the world.
Not going to pretend I'm not shattered though. Now I need to study when I'm all depressed. =(
I'm rooting for NesTea to take the super tournament now, so at least Bomber will have lost to the eventual winner.
NesTea winning now would be good, he's awesome and very likable so I'm not too upset. NesTea or MKP shall be my remaining hopes =)
It always sucks having to do something after one of your favourite players loses, I've got a first draft on a website due for a company by tomorrow and I can't bring myself to get around to finishing it yet ><
