I'll go really slow so you can keep up.
It was a poster called neptunusfisk who linked the letter written by Naniwa's estranged wife who accused him of being physically abusive and a horrible father. I did not link that!
2 other posters have been very negative towards Naniwa. One, wrote 2 posts basically concluding that he is a bad person. His name is Bretfart.
One suggested he(Naniwa) is a racist and hates Jews. That poster's name is Aringadingding.
Why have I become the official Naniwa basher?

I'm with you mate. You were hardly the only one with harsh words towards Naniwa and the above was not that at all . You were also not the one who first brought up his domestic problems.
Some of the comments about him on Youtube have been absolutely cruel. He has been called mentally retarded and autistic. Nothing like that here.
A bit of advice. Rightly or wrongly you are being tagged as something of a provocateur, instigator. I may like what you have to say but others obviously do not.

Naniwa is streaming at the moment and playing well. He does just leave a match without typing GG. I have no problem with that.
|
No, you weren't the only one bashing Naniwa in here. But you have a known track-record of constantly going to fanclubs to bash the players so it's not the best idea to keep doing it.
|
I know of him on 2 other threads and neither one was he a basher of the player.
The Zest thread where he is a big supporter in my opinion and the Scarlett thread. where he simply held an unpopular opinion. He was asked to leave the Scarlett thread and he did. I did not like how that was handled. He thought it was wrong for her to dabble in another race, in this case it was Protoss and because it was a not a popular opinion he was force out.
In my opinion the moderators are not paying attention to what he actually says but how people like you respond to him and I think that is wrong.
Look you got your wish. You wanted him banned and they did that. I have no idea for how long but nobody else got even warned for being critical of this player.

I work in the legal field and I always like to judge a comment based on the whether or not I would find it suitable or proper for gentlemanly discourse. That last post fits that discussion. So in my humble opinion a post that is suitable for any proper discourse got the poster banned. That bothers me and I told him so in a PM.
A moderator could have intervened and said that a fan club is not the place to discuss a player's personal life. To cherry pick one poster like that suggests to me there is personal animus there.
I know Rolltide as a friend in both Starcraft and Company of Heroes. He is the one who told me about this place.

Did anything happen to him? Can't find his twitch or twitter.

He doesn't seem to practice very hard and still manages to sit at 6.8k mmr.
I don't get why he doesn't show up in tournaments. He could do really well. He is crazy good.
Love the stream anyways.

This is the first time in months since I've seen Naniwa play.
Edit: GM Rank 21, 172 Wins.

To any mod out there, I unfortunately lost access to my account (The OP here) and cant seem to get it back. Maybe its an old email or something of the sort. But in any case If you want some editing done on the OP a mod has to change the rights of OP or edit themselves.

Been watching his stream lately. Taking games from all the top players even Serral. He is really good right now even if he thinks he is not. Sure, he probably have things to work on to be able to play bo3 offline again.
But he is like 6850 mmr. He was 6960 the other day.
He talked about playing in some qualifiers on stream. I sure hope he will.
What are your thoughts about it?
Is he, as he says, just playing for fun or is he preparing?
|
Considering he was one of the few foreigners who was able to make GSL Ro8 in the past i'd like if he returns. Hopefully he can reach a good form and would be able to go toe to toe again with the current best foreigners and even some of the koreans. One can like or dislike him (i'm more on the neutral side) but it would be foolish to say he wasn't an entertaining part of the scene while he played.
|
I don't think we'll see him in any tournaments, although he could make it no doubt about that. AFAIK he's been talking about playing qualifiers for years without actually doing it. Which is ... a pitty.
|
Well his twitter did get suspended, so maybe he can focus his energy on more positive things like playing qualifiers
|
His form is pretty good and was about to play in WESG qualifiers, but mixed up time zones and missed it. Next qualifiers arn't any time soon, so by that time he might change his mind again. Hopefully he will keep practising for WCS tho.
|
I keep hoping we'll see Naniwa in qualifiers again, but I doubt it will happen. It seems as if he is simply underestimating himself and at the same time having too much fear of not performing at the top level all the time. After having been away for so long no one is going to expect him to win any tourneys, but it would be so cool to have him back in the brackets!
