Because the crowd cheered for Dimaga and not him how can you be excited for the crowd when the crowd wanted you to lose

Was anyone really surprised?

He used to be a high level non pro mma fighter untill he hurt his finger, the he went into progaming.

and i wondered who'd win lol, dimaga is a big guy, and i wasnt sure if MMA actually ever learned MMA (lol thats so strange typing that)
im glad he won, was rooting for him after whitera got KO'd

MMA's play was so crazy in games 2 and 3. After the 12 minute mark, Dimaga was so far behind economically that it was almost impossible for him to comeback. In game 2, MMA was up 50 supply and up a base, against a zerg.
|
Gratz MMA! Solid play even though you didn't face any real competition. Now go get that 3rd GSL already!

Agree. And that would never happen in Sweden. We are more welcoming here. ^^ (remember 4000 people chanting HerO?)
There wasn't any energy in the crowd and that was sad. The audience basically only cheered for their own players. Overall pretty boring event imo.

Congratulations MMA! Your play at IEM was amazing as always.
Good luck in GSL and I hope to see you at more events this year!

As it was said in Batman: Arkham Asylum by Joker: "Too easy! Played you like a violin, then cut your strings."

Such a cold crowd in Kiev, kind of disappointing that he got no cheers. Sure last game was cheesy, but the other 3 were great, he deserved some respect from the crowd. At least he gets my respect, MMA fighting!
|
Congrats on IEM! I always love watching MMA play. Let's hope he can bring a new level of TvP for his GSL group. I was worried after I saw that massive ling/bling roll him in game 1, but after game 3, I was like "maybe he should take the jacket off."
The funny thing is, it turns out the jacket was helping him + Show Spoiler +
The bro hug with Dimaga and Kas after the ceremony was really cute <3. I'll be cheering for those two a lot more in the future.

Not just the foreigner, but a Ukranian as well, crowd wanted Dimaga to win.

You can still give the winner some creds and not be immature and soar losers about it. And even if you don't feel like it or want to you can do it anyways just to show good manner. Even pretend if you have to.

If Sweden loses to Finland in a hockey match played in Stockholm, would you cheer for the Finnish team?

You're right of course, but still ... I don't know man, I think MMA was robbed out of his well deserved "I'm the champion' feeling. He looked sad and I felt sorry for him. I mostly fault Bitterdam for such a lousy ceremony. If you compare how Day9 handles that, fresh out of memory are Dreamhack and MLG, Bitterdam fall short in every aspect. But I guess that's why there is Day9 and then there's all the rest.

See, this is where you're wrong, you can still cheer for the home team, but you gotta give the winning team at least one round of applause to show some respect. Its called sportsmanship.

Imagine if Kas won WCG in Korea? You think Koreans would cheer him on? LOL
Gratz MMA
