By Kennigit I woke victor up in the middle of his beauty sleep to see whats up :o . Was going to leave this open but its pure speculation based on tyler venting/being frustrated after a loss. He fully intends to go to events etc, it was just something that had been on his mind after some recent losses. Going to lock this until Tyler posts or Naz wakes up. see, told you so. man but he really seems bummed out, lets do something to cheer him up.

The game is hard, Tyler you probably just need to ease your mind and then regain your focus. Let's be real, you may not be able to reach the absolute top if you don't have nearly as much time to practice as some of the other guys. But you can still be very good, and I am sure you can at least make decent money from the game. So just have some fun, geeze. You need to keep in mind of how good you are at this game right now even when slumping and getting less practice than the other guys.

I don't even know what's going on here but I was actually amazed when sc2 came out that Tyler wanted to play at a pro or near pro level in the first place. The only reason he could even have a chance at that is because of a huge well of talent that he can tap into. From what I understand, until recently, he only practiced like 6 hours a day (correct me if I'm wrong). And even with his low amount of practice, Nony did quite well. Just recently did he pick it up and start training a lot (again... correct me if I'm wrong), which I think he should have been doing nayways. I think if he just keeps at it a while longer, he'll start raising in the ranks really quickly. I'm sure none of us want to see him go. T_T Also, like someone said... maybe he was just sad. He said on SotG that he doesnt really rage, and instead just gets really sad. Maybe he's just been 'sad' for a long time? All of TL has been in a bit of a slump lately. =/ Dont give up man! YOU CANT QUIT! HOW WILL I KNOW WHAT GUM TO BUY?

That's just my personnal analysis on the fly, but i don't want to see a talented player like Tyler quit gaming for bad reasons. I hope people in TL will help him to restore his motivation and confidence.

You are easily one of the smartest players around and one of the few that seems to happily share his insight with the community. Your analytical breakdown of the WC game between White-Ra and MC for example, almost as awesome as the game itself. Combine that with a little bit of confidence and some of that pure mechanical skill you picked up during your BW days and you'll start crushing nerds in no time. Either way, best of luck. <3

To not lose your confidence and your motivation, you need people around you, like team mates, coaches and staff manager who support you, and i think Tyler is quite alone is his gaming life (the only TL player in us) and it's hard when you are not in a good shape, to be alone. maybe he need more attention from his team to keep him motivated. I hope people in TL will help him to restore his motivation and confidence. Only Tyler can decide what reasons would be good or bad for him. He's obviously a very smart and talented person who would succeed at many things, so it's not as though opportunities outside of progaming would be lacking. I think we should leave all of this speculation behind us and let Tyler and the Liquid organization do what they need to do, which for the moment is playing competitive starcraft and sending Tyler to events so that he can represent the team.
