The "news" was a piece of private information that should never have been revealed in the first place. It's pure speculation on the part of the community and we should just stop discussing it until TL or Tyler addresses it directly (which they may or may not do).

Tyler I don't know if you will be reading this or not, but this is what I think. If you are considering quitting than it's time to quit. SC2 is the type of game that if you want to be successful you have to put all of your mind to it. If your mind it's in the game anymore than it's time to retire. Anyhow I support your path which ever it is.

Yeah I agree. All or nothing at this point.

Watching Tyler play he still has that awesome control, that precision that sets him apart from other foreign players. The level of execution in his play is superb. But he also seems to give up too much, not fighting to the last unit, playing with almost a sense of apathy.
There's no doubt in my mind he could step it up but for some reason he's missing that passion, that desire he had before. The eye of the tiger just isn't there. It's what all sportsman talk about as they grow up. The ability is still there but the desire to practice, the need to absolutely be the best just isn't there.

I wouldn't blame him for quitting. He's such a smart guy I'm sure he could get a job doing whatever.

Awww... Just read the reddit thread after getting curious about what all these rumors were about. God I'm about to shed a tears here.
I really hope he stays. He's so awesome at all the community stuff he does as well though, so if he really proceeds, I would donate my left testicle to see him as a commentator, or something community related. Losing him is like losing the soul.

lol tbh, even when tyler is playing avg, he's still better than 90% of many so called "pros".

His mind is perfect for starcraft. He analyzes shit like no one else can and is far above the level of any current player imo. When I watch his stream, he can break down a game to the deepest of levels and understands exactly what went wrong or what went right and why things occurred as they did.

He just needs experience. That is it. Nothing else needs to be said or done about anything. I mean, he is just unaware of the possible things you can do in this game. I was watching his stream recently, and he is just unexperienced with how technical aspects of the game work like splash radius' of certain units and whatnot.

His control and actions are almost always precise and consistently 'correct' (read:appropriate) given his preconceived ideas of what is capable at any given moment during the game.

If he quits, it will be a sad day for SC2

I think now would be a good time for Tyler to quit if he's going to. It seems as if he's half-assing his progaming career at this point, everyone seems to say that he doesn't practice much and his results are showing that.

For clarity as some people were unaware, he showed the PM to Nazgul about the matter on his stream accidentally.

Man I was so excited to say hi to my favorite SC2/BW player at MLG Anaheim. Even prepared some speeches so my advisor would let me take a day off. But who knows, maybe this was all just a big joke!

Honestly, whoever leaked out this information should go work for a paparazzi or something. It'd be the perfect job for him. Follow people around, release their private information/conversations, and feed off their fame without their slightest approval. Not a fulfilling job for some, but would be a great fit for the person who's first instinct is to spread Nony's private chat log onto the internet.

This has caused so much trouble. Social revolt at reddit, heartbroken TL Fan club thread... But many people are forgetting how pissed off girls can be if they find out you hide your feelings from them with your reason being "she wouldn't understand."

The guy who leaked it was some dude called Tyler Wasieleski, who broadcast the conversation to an audience of thousands on a live stream. Listen, it's really not worth stressing over. I don't think anyone here doubts that with a b it of confidence and sports psychology Tyler could be the next big protoss force in SC2.

This wasn't "leaked" Tyler showed it on his stream, it was up for a period of time (~20 seconds) so everyone could read it anyway, obviously someone just took a screenshot of it to read it fully.
