Again with the "lost = outplayed". I'm not even sure what Huk did that qualifies as playing. Turtled to 200/200 and attacked? No harass, nothing risky or creative, just a nexus-first into a 3-base deathball, while IdrA is playing his ass off.
Huk even let zerglings into his main, for god's sake.
No need to attempt to illegitimate Huk's play, he outplayed IdrA that game. IdrA sat back and let him max out despite being ahead on supply and floating minerals for a fairly decent amount of time, in addition, he didn't really make an attempt to be an aggressive at all and engaged poorly at the end. If you want to characterize it as IdrA losing more than Huk winning, that's your call, but this is the IdrA fanclub not the, "Shit on everyone IdrA loses to" club. Huk did outplay IdrA in those games.
you're missing the point which is that Huk played mediocre
Then IdrA played even worse, so the statement holds true.

we dont care about your statement cuz you're missing the point
Read what? Where did my reading comprehension fail?
Huk played mediocre, sure... go ahead, that's fine. He beat IdrA while playing mediocre, that's pretty unfortunate in regards to IdrA's play.
what you're failing to realize is that we dont care about that aspect. we just wanna bash Huk for being the scrub he is

Im obviously not speaking on your behalf. I am merely speaking on behalf of everyone not retarded.
you're calling Grimm, and half of the other ones that post much in this fanclub(me included)retarded? you're the retarded one >:O
I must say, no matter how much i think Idra is overrated, i give him massive props for accepting the handshake at the end <3 if idra gets more mannered i just might become a fan again of IDra, not just his gameplay

This is a decent argument, but a maxed zerg T2 army vs 150/200 worth of Colossus/Stalker/Sentry is far from an obvious win for a zerg.
No need to engage, but don't let Huk get his 4th and 5th expo up. Infestors are sick harassing tools, and just because attacking into a 150 colossus/stalker/sentry army is a bad idea that doesn't mean that denying his other bases, then having an engagement isn't smart. Even turtling on 3 base isn't enough to warp in 20 stalkers during the engagement. There's alternatives to attacking into an army once youre maxed. But Idra let Huk get his economy up to mirror his own, and also had crappy larva stockpiling.
Guys relax. Sure Greg wasn't in his best shape and his opponents played better, but c'mon -.- you're better than this. Anyways, IEM next week. Hopefully we'll see a better him show up. I didn't think he played as bad as everyone is making it out to be, but yeah I will agree that it was definitely not up to his full potential

Being a great player does not mean you win 100% of your games, it means you're winning against good players more than 50% (i.e. 52% or 55%). People need to chill out, and not post stupid end of the world posts everytime IdrA loses a BO3 in some tournament.
He's still better than Nerchio, Ret and Stephano. (And even if he isn't, then who cares, this is his fanclub not theirs, we're entitled to be as blind and ignorant in our fanboy'ism as we like).
Except Ret Nerchio and Stephano ARE better than him
Uhm, they're actually not, they're not even close LOL
Except all of them are doing better than IdrA LOL.
That's just temporarily.
IdrA is the better player, overall.
Yea i mean because losing makes you good right?
This comment made me do the Greatest most biggest Facepalm i have Ever did in my entire life...
srsly, i cant belive there are people who think like that...
sry if im sound to agressive, but plz watch this video to understand what i mean:
this is truly an amazing video, i recommend watching it strongly, it might change your way of looking at things.
I'm often in a similar situation Idra was in at the end of game 2 verse Huk and find myself losing so much supply so quickly as Idra did... this is probably best for the strategy section, but seeing as though you all seem to be experts, what should the Zerg do in that situation? Is it really true that considering equal micro the Protoss will win? Anyone have any particular way of dealing with Huk's push a little better than Idra did? oh and please, something other than "don't let him get to it" or "don't engage there". It really did seem like he had to, and he danced his lings all around the map looking for good angles to deal possible harrass + the cannons seem to negate burrowed infestor shenanigans.
more on the topic of Idra, I really don't think he's slumping as a lot of people are saying. He looked in top shape and he's trying new things so once there's a bit more diversity there, and he's used to this lingfester style, he'll start winning a bit more. fingers crossed!!

hopefully i am not having any wrong info but if idra landed the fungals before the blink stalkers could blink forward to pick off broodlords then he would have had been able to at least beat that last battle engagement. Also neural parasite the colossi maybe? idk

No need to attempt to delegitimize Huk's play, he outplayed IdrA that game. Huk floated minerals most of the game too, and huk didn't really make an attempt to be agressive at all so in that sense idra outplayed huk and even if idra had a much better engagement he would have lost almost as badly because that's just the way zvp is
They were both floating because they were max'd, that wasn't what I was focusing on, Huk was also investing into a large amount of upgrades and chronoboosting them, in addition he had a strong army composition with a ton of additional abilities researched and storm on the way. Roaches are such a strong unit to pressure with it's silly to get them and then sit back, yes the way ZvP is, if you let the Protoss macro up and then engage badly you will lose, but that's not necessarily imbalance. IdrA and Zergs in general have the tools to deal with it, he just didn't utilize them well in those games.
Roaches are such a strong unit to pressure with? have u heard of forcefields? just curious?
This picture makes me pretty happy, even though he lost.
Two pretty tiny guys with the Napoleon complex at least trying to get along for once, makes me smile even though you know idra would've preferred not to.

Well when you say someone has a napoleon complex they probably start to develop one since people harp on it.

I've followed both since the beta days when huk was in vT gaming and talked with people in the chat lounge and well.....

Believe you me they both have that complex
Machine is smaller :D(than Idra at least)(
True...machine gives off an aura of cute determination though
