Not to try and spoil the VoDs for you but its basically reapers reapers reapers and all-in. Basic terran imba BS (even MorroW admited that its imba)
IdrA chose self respect over imbalanced easy money win and still managed to make it really far and I think that proves alot. Basically practice 12+ hours a day as zerg and you might have a chance to beat a lesser skilled terran.
This is basically true but...
The Reaper play wasn't all-in, which is a large part of why it is OP. It is brutal, but gives you a good economy.
IDK what you mean by IdrA choosing self-respect unless you mean by not picking Terran. He did everything he can, Zerg just doesn't have good cheese.
Yes I meant by not playing terran, and the all-in I was referring to game 4 hellion/marauder/scv.
I agree any race that can mass such a effective unit so fast, and even if IdrA or any zerg for that matter gets a good surround on reapers and kills the push they still have 5 rax to pump MM. Thats not even taking into account the numerous other early game harass that terran has.
Its an imbalanced race as of right now even the terran players know this. Its basically sit back and defend and hope that you can scout which harass is coming.
Some FANTASTIC games played by idrA at IEM, I just finished watching the VODs. The game against tarson with his new way to spread mutalisks (game 3 perhaps) gave me a huge nerd boner, some of the best micro i've seen so far in SC2
Oh and guys, please don't turn this into a balance discussion thread, it is not for that at all.

You'd think if he was so pro he wouldn't need to abuse his opponent in chat. And for crying out loud just play terran if they're so bloody op. How arrogant is he to sit there inside a nerfed race and bitch that people beat him because they picked a better race. Such a douche.
So, let me get this straight.. Your logic is, if terran is op, that the 30% or so who play zerg, should just give in and play terran. Okay, so then we get somewhere in the range of 70-30 Terran/Toss ratio. Blizzard sees no one plays zerg, they buff them in order to get players back to the race. Zerg players return and are now "OP" and other races start to complain. The cycle restarts.
I do not understand how people can honestly say anything about someone raging, when they come to the forum boards and bad mouth a player. Why do you care how someone plays or what someone does during their gameplay? No one is forcing you to watch the player or his replays.
No one can honestly say they have played a game, be it FPS RTS MMO RPG whatever. And has not got frustrated or angry at it/what happens. It part of human nature to have emotions and some people are more vocal/expressive of these emotions.
So instead of being a douche and coming on the forums and complaining, realize your doing the exact same thing.
If I shouldn't care what someone says ingame, you shouldn't care what I say on these forums. It's equal logic. If Idra gets self-respect from playing zerg then he would have well accepted that they're the worse race and wouldn't rage about it. What does abusing his opponents for not-nerfing themselves get him? Just because he plays a shit race he gets the higher ground in raging at his opponents? Nonsense, he's immature and arrogant. We give noobs shit for being BM but Idra gets a free pass, based on faulty reasoning. I call bs.
And it's not like I can start an Idra hateclub on these forums, can I? I'd be banned faster than you can say "fair and balanced". And don't forget "it's part of human nature to have emotions and some people are more vocal/expressive of these emotions", for Idra anyway, but not for the people criticizing him. So forgive me, he's a great player, but he's not perfect and the criticism is valid.

morrows 5rax reaper opening doest require a ton of micro, its just 1 control group, plus you can retreat whenever you want, macro some shit up and go back to applying pressure.
idra however had to use multiple control groups, spread creep, he couldnt macro freely because the defending the base from reapers required that much focus, and that's why his macro crumbled i think.
I also laugh at people who say that morrow outplayed idra in a straigh-up macro game during game 3.

There are plenty of threads where you are free to express your hate towards Idra, just like others do. And if the mods get a bit too enthusiastic, there's always HD and Husky's channels, so there's no reason to actually do it in the fanclub unless you want to annoy those who like Idra.
If we're still taking questions for IdrA via Artosis, I'd like to ask why IdrA opted for Banelings rather than Infestors on Xel Naga Caverns and Blistering Sands.
I don't have the game yet so I can't watch the replays. Can anyone tell me if Idra had idle larva after his evo chamber was finished? I have a feeling that he might have accidentally built an evo instead of a spire? (I've done this a few times under intense pressure from my opponent). Because his mineral and gas count was at around 800/800 IIRC after the evo chamber finished. Maybe that explains his "bad macro?" I know it could be just that lings and roaches are so cost effecient that even if you use up all your larva you just don't spend that much and his evo placement does not suggest that he meant to build a spire but it seems to me that Idra would've known to build an extra hatchery if he was planning on going roach sling bling in the mid game.

_This_.
It transitioned into a macro game, that much is true, but it was hardly a straight up one since Idra was under so much pressure and Morrow, well, under none.
Morrow played well, made no major mistakes. Idra made a couple, and unfortunately with the state of the matchup right now, that's enough to lose.
Terran is more forgiving of mistakes, but if you're under no pressure and a semi-competent RTS player, it's fairly easy to macro up, after the advantage the mass reaper opening gives you.
Idra is a good player indeed, one of the best zergs on sc2. But whines too much. Has only one style of play, macro and macro again and whines if a player doesnt play the way he does. Even flash is mixing his playstyle more then idra. And for those who watch BW and know flash playstyle they know what im talking about. Fine for idra to play macro, but hes like a kid on bnet trying to teach people his style or w/e. I rather see TLO play because he is mixing things up a bit. Long macro games to cheeses that attracts viewers. Idra is sometimes fun for his great macro and lategame control to all the rage quits, but sometimes he is just so immature and childish, and he does not have good sportsmanship. Its like he thinks he so much better then all the others because he is a reserve-reserve for the reserves for CJentus and lives in Korea, that he can rage and come with lame excuses to everyone who beats him.
But again! Idra is good! Just does some really weird things!
