Go IDRA zerg hero with personality I also bought my 6GV2 because of Idra. Idra probably understands the most important thing about sport, something that poker players understood long time ago: He is an entertainer more than anything else!!! Winning or losing is not the most important thing, people getting entertained is, that's when money comes to you!
Weird to claim to be someone's fan and then not pay attention to anything they say. Idra and all the other pros have said repeatedly that focusing on winning is the most important thing because ultimately that's why people come to watch games. Nobody would watch Starcraft if it turned into some kind of terrible WWE wannabe scene.
Also the people coming in here just cheering for Idra's "rage" moments are really dumb.

Tyler and Geoff are Greg's friends. That's why they care. It's pretty clear to me that he lacks "the eye of the tiger" and I hope he finds it.

At least it seems as if he is unable - at the moment - to really tell how far ahead of the protoss he really is. I really really really hope he will learn this, but even if not I will still be a fan. His play is amazing... He almost held a 7 rax / 1 base all in, while fast expanding (there was just one mistake )... that - to me - is unbelievably good play...

You can't hold that without "fast expanding"... when you're playing zerg, any time after 15-20 supply that you don't have a second base, you are rapidly approaching certain death pretty much regardless of how a non-zerg opponent opened or what they're doing.

If Idra would have the Fuck everyone i´m just going to win this attitude he would be fucking unstopable. The games against huk were you could really tell how badly he wanted to win this were so fucking goood.

I really do think iNcontroL was spot on with the criticism that IdrA has a mental block in a lot of games. I think IdrA's good enough to win in several scenarios that he deems unwinnable (and then ragequits from). He sells himself short sometimes, or his bias comes out and causes him to lose games he would win. Case in point: the hallucinated void ray game at MLG against HuK. Without considering the case that they could be hallucinated, he just left because he figured that he would auto-lose to a real army of that caliber.
I hope IdrA gets over that, because he's already an amazing player. Clearing his mind just a little bit more would give him the edge he needs to beat the remaining few opponents

Haha, good to hear I wasn't the only person who bought a Steelseries because of Idra. It was not long after the tournament where he thanked his sponsors (and fans, etc.; I want to say it was MLG DC.)

I think IdrA is just playing a different game than everyone else. It seems like blizzard wants the game to go to endgame as the exception rather than the rule, and I think more overall aggression and ending the game sooner rather than later is what the zergs should be trying to accomplish. I love the lategame macro discipline and multitasking of IdrA, but it doesn't seem like blizzard is focusing any of their balancing on late game yet. None of the tier 3 units has had much balancing done to them, and I suspect none of them will for quite a while.
So whip out those awesome cruncher'esque drops, start trading armies, early game damage and kick some arses.

They have to be defended as if they're stationary at times if the opponent has a very mobile composition or be kept at the back of your army, which negates their huge range.

I agree. He's obviously doing a lot of analysis in his ZvX match-ups. It's just a little heart-breaking to see him quit when he can still win a few games that he doesn't think he can.

A real sports mindset is to win. A real sports competitor values winning over everything else. That's why idiots in other sports who sign with shitty teams for tons of money are looked down on by the sports communities.

P telling zergs how to play is getting really tilting. "Get creative, use nydus, harass at 5 different places, mass overseers to delay colosus".
I wish the role would be reversed so we zerg players could say "well, you cant win vs Z by playing standard, you have to use 5 warp prism high templar storm harass, 3 of them being fake hallucinations of course. Also, not enough motherships, try to get fast mothership its actually SO good. Multi prong attacks with carriers are also essential to beat a zerg"

They're not wrong though, idra even say it himself that that late game zerg options aren't very attractive. I mean, I agree with you, zerg shouldn't have to pull out every trick in the book to deal with another race playing completely standard, but I think it's sort of the case none the less.
