Isn't it weird that IdrA never posted in his own fanclub yet?

He reads the posts on his stream sometimes, but it's not like anyone's given him a reason to reply. Scan the 280 pages of this thread and you'll see a lot of bad posts. Hell, I'm pretty sure I'm guilty of a few.

I'm sure if there was a discussion worth his attention, he'd answer.

What ratMortar said, plus in a lot of interview he gives thanks to his fans at the end. Do they (read we) really matter to him? Who knows.. I'm still a fan of his play and the way he fights for what he thinks is the proper way to play the game.

20 Corrupters are not enough, Corrupters get countered by Voidrays so much since they do way more damage, what Idra should have done is to focus the colossus and remax with hydras.
Mutalisk/Hydra most likely would have fared way alot better than Corrupter/roach/Hydra

Hydras destroy Voidrays so cost effectively that it gets ugly.
in the end he just waited to long and didn't put his economic advantage into a tactical advantage as Game 2 proved.

I dont understand why people dont use mutas. Cheaper in gas, isnt countered by voidrays, isn't countered by stalkers directly and can hit colossus.

I'm a big fan of IdrA, I've read people saying he reads the fanclub on stream, but he never posts anything here.

It doesn't need to be a reply, it could just be some info, just like he does on his twitter. But then again, why would he post it here if he's posting on twitter... It's all very confusing.

But sometimes I don't know if at the end of the interviews, when thanks the fans, he really means it, or just says it...

I hope he means it, I mean... he's like an example of perseverance, patience and hard work..

Every interview he talks about how much he enjoys tournaments in NA and Europe because of the interaction he has with fans. He also seems to be pretty smart and I think he values/understands the importance of fans with this whole esports deal. I think its a little odd to questions his appreciation of fans.

I also think its kind of weird when a pro posts in their own fan club.

I'll be a fan as long as he keeps having the occasional game like game 2 in TSL. I'll remember that series because of that game not the end result.

If that match would have taken place on the new Shakuras it would have probably ended in a 2:0 walkover. The old version however is... not the best for ZvP. BTW props to Blizz for fixing that map.

Huh?

Mutas are 100/100, Corruptors are 150/100... same gas.

Not to mention Corruptor has base 14 damage with +6 to massive (re: Colossus). Mutalisk does 9/3/1 respectively.

Corruptor is 200 health, mutalisk is 120... If a stalker does 10(4) it takes (with no regen) 12 shots to kill a Mutalisk and 14.2 to kill a Corruptor. Mutalisks will kill a collosus slower, die faster and generally aren't useful in a straight up fight...

Corruptors also can be morphed into Broodlords which make them infinitely more useful late game to break a Protoss turtle since you'll be chased by blink stalkers all day if you go Mutalisk. Corruptors can also cast spells to increase their damage output while mutas can not... etc.

Yes it does. Stalkers with blink do counter mutas and with double stargate toss can hold on long enough to pump pheonix.

What I would have done was focused collossi down with 8-10 corruptors and the rest of the army is hydras.

Why even build roaches? They are bad to max with and hydras do better against everything else in the deathball except collossi anyways.

I think there were too many stalkers there, mutas would melt pretty quickly, and with guardian shield their damage would be really low (though they damage multiple targets)

I don't know how he could have stoped that death ball...

Because the roach is better as a tanky unit and its easy spamable. U will never get pure hydra army cuz u wont ever have that much gas so u can just fill it with roaches which are cheaper.

Love your awesome play, Idra. Hang in there, eventually the overpowered protoss will get their well deserved nerf and deservedly learn what it's like not to play with a severe advantage anymore.

In my experience (lowly plat/gold leagues) Mutas absolutely demolish VR/Colo. Use Mutas + Pure speedlings with upgrades. I prefer going armor ups, since most units that hit air do several low damage hits.

Of course it may not translate to Idra's pro level, but I think it is better than corruptors. Specially since it is easier to snipe any VR/Colo that walks too far from the stalkers.

Except that the colossus would melt half of the lings before they could hit anything, and the Stalkers with VR would melt the Mutas before they could kill the colossus.

This is good post to reply to =)

The "counter"(it doesn't really have one) to that ball in my experience is to:
1. get a huge economic lead
2. lower drone and Queen count significantly to around 55-60 drones / 3-4 Queens as you get maxed and your main and nat begin to dry
3. Make a million billion Corruptors
4. Suicide the Corruptors in as far away from your base as possible, focusing on their Colossi before the Voidrays
5. Remax with Hydras and kill him while his Colossus numbers are low

This is the best thing I've found but it still requires a lot of precision. Lategame muta switch actually is amazing against this as well, you can harrass really nicely with them and they aren't even terrible in a straight-up fight.
