To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules;
Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
No reposting of old material unless justified
Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.
This is what watching trolls in this thread looks liek
I mean, when did people fall under the illusion that kpop was actually good enough musically to warrant reactions to bashing. Honestly, I don't quite understand why people are so defensive about kpop :/ I mean, I like kpop just as much as the next guy in this thread, but I never thought it was well written, well thought out.
While I wasn't the one who tempbanned Roffles, the only reason I didn't is because I was away from the thread when all this crap over the past few pages was going on. While Roffles does occasionally make good points, the way he chooses to communicate in this thread has been getting out of control for a while now and he needed to be brought up short. There's no excuse for posting the way he does in this thread, particularly how he's been posting recently.
As for the whole SONE trolling/baiting/etc. trend that's been going on, it needs to stop. While I understand that some people in this thread are sick of the large amount of SNSD content that is in this thread, everyone needs to understand that shitting up the thread is not an appropriate response. It bothers me just how many people are idolizing or admiring how Roffles has been posting recently, and it's concerning that the tone of the posts has seemed to be following his lead. There are limits to what is allowed in this thread in terms of inappropriate language, and a certain level of mutual respect is expected amongst members.
This thread has had problems for a while now, but I thought that it was improving lately in terms of how people were keeping their flaming to a semi-reasonable level and the level of animosity was not as high as it has been. People seemed to have started to accept that certain members are very enthusiastic about certain groups/idols/stars/etc., and were having fun teasing each other about it. The contents of posts were generally better, although we have been letting a lot of posts with too little content (i.e. just a link to a video or image with nothing else) go by. Then the past few pages happened and I'm left shaking my head.
Everyone needs to accept that everyone else has different tastes than they do. Just because you're not a fan of a certain idol or group, it doesn't mean that someone else can't be or vice-versa. While excessive and blind adulation can get annoying, and it's okay to call someone out on it, it does not justify the type of reaction that Roffles displayed or anything close to it. While it's okay to dislike an idol or group and express exasperation, frustation, or bafflement at how others may disagree, there's no need to refer to them in excessively derogatory manner either. I've come to accept that "troll" is just going to be a common term, but referring to idols as "whores", "bitches", or anything similar is not acceptable.
Wake up and try to post like you're mature individuals who can communicate in a semi-respectable manner. Even if you're not, figure out how to act like it or expect tempbans and/or warnings.

it's as bad as DA BOYZZZ, so i'd say it's recent. snsd was doing decent shit back in 2009 like gee or genie
Turns out the recorded in 2009 is about 90% likely soooooo. I actually can't stop listening to this song lol. It's so good =D I wonder what the story behind it is. I mean I'm sure there are tons of unreleased tracks, but why did this one get leaked so randomly.
The fuck you on? Song's fuckin trash.
Why does he have to be "on"something? Let the man enjoy and share a song he found.
Because he's a well known SNSD nut hugger who'll enjoy any SNSD song despite how fucking bad it is.
Just telling him that it sucks and that he should perhaps take his fucking homer goggles off once in a while.
lol, damn you are angry. You hate SNSD THAT much that someone likes their music you have to froth at the mouth in rage? Sad man, sad.
edit: All those other songs above, Danny Boy, Sway, Devils' Cry, are from their concert tour, not on any repackage.
Well to be honest Mr. MoonSoshi9, you are a more than average contributor to soshified, so it's not a big shock that you get offended when an SNSD song is called trash. But because to be a sone is to be one of the most delusional fanbases out there... yeah.
Seriously, do you need to have sone to sone cry sessions because someone called your favorite's group song garbage?
@MoonSoshi9 Jon @RageX009 some kpop elitist on team liquid whining at me because I think Boomerang is a good song
The thing is that he has yet to prove that what Roffles stated ISN'T true (even if it was very rudely stated).
Also he has no problems shitting on someone else's groups but as soon as someone says they don't like an SNSD song suddenly we're all trolls.
lol what? I don't shit on anybody except for Gyuri because I don't like her. Oh and the new WG song which I didn't like. And who says I'm offended because someone doesn't like that leaked SNSD song? Someone said they didn't like it, I said I did. Roffles comes in with his typical trolling bullshit that adds nothing to anything other than trying to get people pissed off. I'm just laughing about it because it's so damn pathetic you get so raged about someone liking an SNSD song.
edit: and you idiots try to troll me on twitter, it's even more pathetic.

We also need to stop the page top crap. It's really no different than saying "first!" if you think about it.

IMO it's cause everyone else can read people shit about their groups/idols but won't have anywhere near the reaction SONEs do. ofc this is a broad generalization, but I have stated numerous times that I think that 2ne1 is the worst band ever to grace this earth and people like Megaliskuu (I think?) who actually like 2ne1 can read that comment, think "oh, he has a different opinion", and move on. People say the new-old SNSD song is terrible, and you get a reaction like Moonwrath's. Am I saying that Roffles' trollbait was ok? No, but with any other group it wouldn't have escalated to the scale that it did.
And on an actual KMD note, KJK is the shit, can't wait till he comes out with more new material. Also can't wait to wake up to a T-ara performance tomorrow. If it's anything like the practice vid it'll be awesome.
2NE1 is my #2 favorite group but I quickly came to accept that they do not belong here, lol

@Kentor- well it would be, but unlike a meaningless "first" post I like to think the true purpose of the pagetop is so that you get some nice eyecandy on the top of every page you click on. I will admit that some people who post way too many gifs/images (nanashin, I love you but i'm sorry) kinda ruins it though.
oh wow some people know about urban zakapa in here. UZ, w&whale and casker are some of my favorite bands ^^ korean indie is surprisingly better than the underground scenes elsewhere in the world.

This should be the message at the top of the page.
I don't think this new KARA (Japanese) song was posted.
I don't like it. Maybe it's because Step was just so good, this currently feels like a letdown to me, maybe it'll grow on me. It's all about the performances anyways so we'll see how they choose to promote it with the new album...
The chorus is ok, rest of the song, meh. The intro is just wtf.

Because from my perspective its the easiest way to stop the argument. All other fans already ignore the trolls for the most part. 2NE1 gets shit on all the time in this thread, but you don't see anywhere near the level of defensive posts from their fans.
And for me personally, it does get annoying to see the same blind devotion to a group regardless of the songs they put out.
I didn't get to weigh in when their album came out and this is just my opinion but their recent songs just haven't been anywhere near the quality of their previous songs. Its not that I don't understand difference of opinions, I know there are people who dislike "Oh" and "Mr. Taxi" (which I personally like) and there are people who like "Great Escape" and "Bad Girl" (which I didn't like), but I find it a bit baffling when somebody says they like every single song that SNSD puts out. I realize it could be their honest opinion, but its just really really really hard for me to believe that people can post and praise these songs when they have songs like "Gee" and "Genie" to compare to.
What it breaks down to is, when I compare new songs to the field of kpop songs out there, I think that some songs don't deserve the praise they get, while others are under-appreciated, and SONEs are the biggest contibuting factor to that from what I see, and they are also the ones taking the majority of the trollbait.
I think the pagetop thing is fine, so far as it just means that people are going to try to put something a little extra whenever their post ends up topping a page. As long as people aren't trying to compete to top pages like those people who annoyingly try to be the first to comment on something, then it shouldn't be a problem.
