While they're certainly not going to win any contests involving physical appearance (although I know some of us think they're not quite as unattractive as this thread generally makes them out to be), I like the fact that each member has a unique look or feel to them. A lot of people don't seem to like their songs, but I've liked most of them. I feel like they're music is more Western-styled, but I'm no expert. I feel like their music is more like what you'd hear in the US, and that it's generally fun music that I could imagine dancing to at a club. Fire started this trend, and remains probably my favorite song of theirs. I'll admit that I'm The Best didn't appeal to me right away, but the beat grew on me and I find myself bobbing my head to it when it comes on in the car. I like that you can easily identify and distinguish the members in each of their songs. Obviously, it's a lot easier to do so in a smaller group (as opposed to a larger one like SNSD), but I really feel that each member has a very distinct sound. Their voices all stand out, even amongst other Kpop idols, who I feel all seem to strive for the same type of sound. I'm not going to pretend that 2NE1 are the best singers talent or technique-wise, but somehow their sound appeals to me and it's nothing something I hear in other Kpop groups. 2NE1tv has been fun to watch, and it's revealed the group to have some very interesting personalities. SNSD had a similar show (SNSD Goes To School or something?), and it's how I grew to like that group as well. I think it's entertaining, and great for fans, to get to know the group members off the stage, and it serves to just further distinguish the members from each other. I feel like this past season of 2NE1tv had way too much Dara on it, and that she tended to get too emo at times, but it was still entertaining enough. It's always cool to catch glimpses of the rest of the YG Family as well since they're generally quite reclusive. Lastly, I think that of all the Kpop groups, they're the most capable of succeeding in the US or Western market. As I said above, I think their music is just more of a Western style and sounds like music I hear on the radio here. CL, Bom and Dara all have good English from living outside of Korea for significant periods of time, and Minzy has surprisingly good English for someone who's lived in Korea all her life (as you can hear when she performs songs like Take A Bow). YG also seems the most Western-friendly of all the major Korean music companies, and they have relationships with people like the Black Eyed Peas, Ludacris, Jeremy Scott, Diplo, etc. I remember Mobb Deep performing on a Jinusean track back in the day, so it's nothing new for them. I could see them releasing an English album and performing in English without having a significant accent (compare the English versions of Can't Nobody and The Boys and the difference is noticeable), and they'd be able to handle interviews well. Some performances I liked: You should spoiler the videos when you have multiple videos incase people quotes on your post.

Following your example, there's no excuse for inciting monkeys behind a cage, no matter how entertaining their reactions may be, and the inciters will be responsible for the mess made by the monkeys due to their inciting them. Go ahead and continue to bait and troll whoever you want if it amuses you, just don't be surprised if your ability to post on these forums is compromised as a result. There's an issue of permanence here. Following the example, the monkey in the cage is permanent in the zoo whereas the visitors are not. In other words, intentionally or otherwise, visitors to this thread will tread on the monkey's long tail. It would be draconic to ban everyone who does that and each ban will not remove its accompanying shit storm as people take up sides. As such, it would make more sense to direct the attention to the monkey. If it doesnt perform, nobody will stay and watch.

hahaha, I wake up, and what I see? to be honest I like that kind of self-expression. sometimes I act like that. but people do not seem to like it, so we need to think twice before clicking the *post*, or the *send* button. cruel world it is... + Show Spoiler + On November 17 2011 16:30 Moonwrath wrote: IU teaser for her new album ![]() 아... 귀염!~ *-*

I kind of had high hopes for 2NE1 but they disappointed me quite a bit with the last album that was heavily autotuned. Most of their songs this year they've relased are quite nice to listen to, well except for I Am The Best it's as horrible as the The Boys. My biggest issue with 2NE1 is that I still can't figure out what Dara is doing there. She's supposed to be the face of the group, but she's 27 years old and I don't really find her that attractive. And as you noticed everyone else they spoiler videos/images after the first one so people won't have to scroll through a ton of videos/images. Just makes it easier for people that don't want SNSD/2NE1/Rainbow/Kara content, they'll just have to suffer through 1 picture.

This thread is for people to discuss their favorite Korean music artists and share content about them. It is not to provide passerbys with a target to flame/annoy/etc. If there is a problem between people who are here to fanboy about their particular favorite artists and people who wander in and like to provoke the former, then I will choose the former over the latter any day since they "belong" here. People who post in the thread to stir shit up are not welcome, and action will be taken to remove them.

Just to make it clear, I'm not condoning people being overly sensitive or defensive about their particular favorite artists either. People need to realize when they're being trolled or flame-baited and shrug it off. If they expect people to be able to disregard their fanboying, then they should be expected to disregard reactions they get to it. At the very least, they should react in a mature and respectful manner, and not contribute to the flaming or animosity. People can't be thin-skinned and expect to survive on TL.

Isn't it kind of an unwritten rule that you're supposed to spoiler everything past the first image/video you post if you're going to post multiple ones? And people mentioned it about cyric's post, just haven't gotten around to megaliskuu's. Its definately not an only-target-sones-who-cant-spoiler thing

Just got released, but considering they don't have any chance winning anything it's better to just start performing it straight away. Their ballad Goodbye on the album is a lot better than Popx3 even though Popx3 had a lot of RaNia's signature move in it. On another note, Ji Hye is freaking scary.
