Like finding a ballad group like 2AM with a MR video of them not singing. Granted, I don't know how real these MR videos are.. some of them sound too good to be true sometimes.. and vice versa

I think it's pretty obvious though when ballad groups aren't singing. Their live sounds different from their actual track because you can hear the voices so well - ballad groups barely use backtracks and whatnot, so if that happened you wouldn't even need an MR removed to tell that they weren't singing :O

SNSD is probably one of the better "dance" heavy groups. Then again you have half of them that can actually sing, and the other half labeled as dancers. They really just need to split the two entirely like 2AM and 2PM.

Hm, I never really thought of Good Day as a ballad song though, it sounds really poppy since it has a stronger instrumental. If Davichi (like don't say goodbye has a pretty soft instrumental) was singing like that live it would be very noticeable.

You can't compare a dance performance to a ballad performance and then say that they can't sing. Of course Davichi will be way better, they are able to solely focus on their vocals. I know most of the girls in SNSD are quite bad and that probably only Tae Yeon can match at least KMK but still...
Well, that's the problem.. dance groups tend to have a lot more complex beats and background music so the turn out of these "MR" videos aren't as good quality as the ones from ballad groups.. then combined with the better vocals of ballad groups, the contrast is even greater. The only use I find for MR videos is just to see who actually sings and who lipsyncs their songs
Yea, because singing while doing a choreo (particularly SNSD's choreos) is the same as singing while standing still and having only that to do with your breath, right? Anyways I don't think MR removed videos prove anything, the sound is all fucked up, you can hear it.
MR removed means nothing. Like PatouPower said there's a huge difference if you do choreo or not. If you let Jessica just stand there and basically do things at her own free pace she's a great singer, and most of SNSD is at least good to the point you could be surprised. And I guess probably most groups are like that as well, I'm just using SNSD as an example because I don't really give a shit about other groups so I don't watch their radios etc.
Also everybody in Korea does plastic surgery nowadays so assuming idols wouldn't is kinda funny.
1. I actually like the WG song, obvious influences aside. The engrish is still pretty bad but seems to be improving...idk.
2. MR removed also means nothing because it still isn't an accurate representation of what they sound like, dancing or no. I've said it everytime that shit pops up and I'll continue to say it- it means nothing. tbh you don't even need it to tell who are good singers- T-ara is fairly terrible, SNSD is average, Davichi is good, etc.
3. ^still an overgeneralization for Korea but the % who have it done is still above average. Also, my position on plastic surgery is that I don't really care if they do it, as long as they look good. For this reason I don't really care if they have had plastic, unless they've had so much it looks freakish (park bom)
