If you haven't read it yet you should. Shit is pretty crazy, from girls using their blood from their period to write messages, to actually cutting themselves (wrist, neck). Creepy as hell man creepy as hell. | ||

So i'm kind of surprised that GD chose to speak in korean instead of english in his speech. But seriously any of the bigger Kpop groups would have won in that award because all of them got pretty dedicated fans that actually would bother to vote. | ||

As a hardcore fan, you're supposed to support your group by buying albums, going to concerts, cheering for your idols, wishing them to do well and in general, suffer with them in bad times and enjoy their success with them in good times. In return for that emotional involvement fans can expect some quid pro quo from their idols. Basically that means they have to behave in a way the fans want them to: put in the effort to look good, act nice toward their fans, perform without showing they're tired or bored, report on their daily lifes by twitters and appearing on shows etc. That idea seems to contain the principle that the idols belong to noone but their fans. And having a relationship is taking attention away from the fans as it is a complete engagement towards a third person. Fans don't like that and act accordingly. edit: I just saw you referred to antifans. I'm kinda clueless in that regard, I don't know what their deal is anyway. Maybe the article linked above can clarify that although having read it, I see they don't have an explanation either. And haha, Woohyun is pretty weak as a standalone vocalist. I'm a fan of Infinite and I gotta admit I can't stand to listen to him most of the time on IS2. But as part of Infinite he does his job well though. | ||

That's where a lot of taboos come from: promiscuity, drugs, lazyness, or disrespectful behavior are looked down upon. And newspapers (or AKP) don't hesitate to post anything that could cause a scandal. And yea, Pete Doherty would laugh at that. | ||

As for their images, they have to be maintained, slight issues such as manners are looked at and nitpicked pretty hard. e.g. Tiffany's American manners, or T-aras stage manners. They are even criticized for their facial expressions. (Yoona and Taeyeon at MTV interview) | ||
