There seems to be movies/OVA for that serie. Should I watch them before watching the TV serie or?

On another note, I'm looking for recommendation (directed at everyone) with these specifics: - It should be an adventure, preferably about hiking (the only thing I found was Yama no Susume which is probably not what I'm looking for - Can be just wandering/traveling around in the wilderness as well - Focus should be on the atmosphere of the areas and world, great examples here are Mushishi as well as the traveling episodes of Ergo Proxy I don't care which genre or how old it is. If anything jumps to your mind just name it. ![]() Have you watched Kino no Tabi? It's the first show I think of when I try to cater to those points. Sadly it is also the only show close to what you're looking for, since you've already watched Mushishi.

I don't know why I didn't include it in the examples above...

Truly beautiful (visuals + music) movie! The story is short, slow, and simple but I thought it was masterfully presented! I believe this is my second anime/movie from Makoto Shinkai (5 cm per second). Anything else worth watching (Beside Your Name that isn't available yet)?

You may not like the final effect but it's certainly not "low budget." When you have a lot of movement in a scene, and especially if the movement needs to convey comedy, the characters are usually going to be off-model. It hurts to think that the Konosuba, which has way more movement (read: budget) than most OPs and which does some interesting things with animation driving the comedy, is getting penalized because each frame didn't have perfect faces. This almost makes me want to ask the sakugabooru guys like aers what they think of the animation in KonoSuba, and sit back and enjoy the answer On January 12 2017 05:56 Toadesstern wrote: I don't really have any way to record so I made screenshots since that's fairly doable. And I made sure to not cherrypick stuff that looks bad in stillframe but instead only chose stuff that looked wonky overall. The OP in motion would be: ![]() which I don't think makes it look any better At the end of the day I guess this is subjective. It's clearly intentional style at this point, for better or worse. Be it because they want to be consistent with what they've done before or whatever else but when I look on MAL forum people there seem to like it. That should have a heavy bias towards people liking the show since people who don't won't bother posting there but oh well~ Wait... THAT is the "well animated dance scene" he was talking about? Hahah, if someone thinks that is good animation, their head might explode if they watch something similar from like KyoAni or something.

The show doesn't look like it has any more movement than any other show of it's genre. So "too much movement" isn't really an excuse for the shitty quality of the drawings. That and, because it's an OP, studios tend to put more detail in animating it, because 1. you'll be using it for 12-13 episodes, and 2. you only have to do it once, because you'll be using it for 12-13 episodes. At this point, I'm starting to believe Toad that the shitty art is done intentionally now, since the whole show itself is more a parody. While they're parodying the genre, might as well do it for the art too, as an excuse to make whoever animated that appear to be a god at purposely drawing like shit. Took a look at the OP, the explosion looked nicely animated + Show Spoiler + kill me now for admitting this and it'll probably work at this rate granted they fixed some of that in the BDs whereas apparently Konosuba didn't.

I will agree, I think Deen put all of there "gorgeous let's be Shaft" animation into Rakugo, but it's not complete trash. Maybe, given that some of the stills are like "first frame" after a cut, they may be trolling people. (Then again, I grew up watching hand-drawn animation on VHS on a CRT-television. There could be some insensitivity to animation quality that might cause some people to claw out their eyes.) So, Dragon Maid is out today? That's another one to check out. Things I've looked at already so far - Kemono Friends (Dora the Explorer in Anime land) Hand Shakers (Meh. All the WTF of Flip Flappers with no redeeming qualities noted.) Spiritpact (I have no idea how I made it through the entire episode.) Seiren (Pretty. Pushy girl.) Fuuka (Cute, RomCom SoL but I expect drama soon) Rakugo (More stories. This is where Deen's good art goes.) Demi-chan (Monster girls? Yes please. Nice take.) Masamune-kun (Hoping that the MCs aren't total dicks the entire time.) Akiba's Trip (Still thinking.) Ai-Mai-Mi Surgical (Lots of confusion. Oh, there's like twenty of these minis.) Things I haven't seen yet but will probably watch DragonMaid Konosuba

So I'm guessing it goes into School Days territory then? Eh. I can see the triangle, but it seems cute after one episode. Nevermind that. Wikipedia. Hmm. So how is this all going to turn out then? Should be an interesting ride at least.

I reaaaalllllly hope they do the Chunni mage village. My god that volume was funny as hell. I'm assuming hotspring and no chuuni mage village. But yeah vol 5 (was 5, right?) would be nice. Or if it sells 10k+ average BD's again we're just getting s3 in fall this year I've also somehow come to terms with the art/animation. Maybe it's just that I'm really used to modern moe animation that I can't stand other styles. Shin-chan (I know that's a bit extreme of an example) is another thing that I just hate from an artistic pov but some people like it I guess? Also not a fan of one piece as people might know... so as long as they don't go convincing kurone to alter his illustrations to fit I'm okay with it~ Oh that reminds me, chomusuke isn't introduced yet, right?

You don't really expect it then BAM, you get SEO'd.

@Toad no I don't think chomusuke was introduced. The animation/designs seemed worse this season. I dunno but everyone looked worse then they did in S1. I think your right about the vol number, I just want to see that arc animated as it would be glorious.
