IDK what DxD has to do with this, I've never commented on it ever. Not even relevant to this conversation in the least, as far as I'm concerned. IMO the wannabe hipsters should jump ship to my camp, and hate on Monogatari, that way you can be a true hipster. | ||

I wasn't talking about this season in particular, in general i feel that there are better series for fan service and i would definitely watch DxD even if it didn't have it. That said i do like fan service and obviously don't mind it being there, and i also don't think the fan service in DxD is bad. As a series, it does have a ton of great girls to show off anyway. Xebec is where you go for the best fan service in animu. | ||

Just because a series does a thing well doesn't mean you have to watch it for that reason. That's how I see It. We all have different priorities. I watch dxd cuz the plot is decent and its hilarious. Fanservice is just a welcomed bonus. Might as well watch hentai if you want pure fan service. | ||

You can watch all of them and appreciate all of the fanservice ten times over. About DxD without fanservice: If it didn't have fanservice I wouldn't watch it. It's extremely mediocre otherwise. I didn't say one couldn't watch DxD for the fanservice which is why i only said that it isn't why I watch it  I read the LNs because i genuinely enjoy the characters and setting, even if the fanservice was removed i'd still be both watching and reading although i'd definitely be enjoying it less, afterall i DO like the fanservice, but it isn't the main draw for me, it's just a bonus ontop. And even then there is far less fan service and lewd stuff in the light novels. | ||

I don't know about the LNs, it's possible you can enjoy the LNs without fanservice. The anime, however, is 80% based on the fanservice, humor and all. For the 20% of plot, it's nothing out of the ordinary and in fact, in my opinion, is what brings it down. | ||
