Neh. There are like 2-3 (?) popular romanization systems for Japanese and people mix and match 'em all the time. There is one that is more "official" than the others for foreigners to learn Japanese (and that would be the one with the accented vowels) but that's lame (speaking from experience).
From what I've encountered, actual Japanese people romanize by matching the kana as much as possible, so you'd get stuff like chya-syu- instead of chaashuu which is pretty weird at times too but makes sense, or instead of 'sh' they just use 's' (shi/si).
In any case, it's all preference. 'ou' still based cough.

kind of both I guess? Katou as an example is written as 加藤 with the pronunciation being かとう, as you (I think?) pointed out with that wallpaper recently, which is ka-to-u if you transcribe it. In fact I was actually about to post "lol it's even written as katou on the wallpaper itself" until I realized that there's a third spelling underneath that had it as "Kato"
Yeah it's a lot easier to write katou than having to find that weird accent but it's probably just that people most likely won't know that that u sound extends the o sound rather than being some weird ka-to-yu sound.
You do find the accent on stuff like english wikipedia articles. And yes, it creeps me out as well.
@Souma, I always end up writing out "jyo" when "jo" is perfectly fine as well, weirdly enough only with the o sound. Like in "Senjyougahara" instead of "Senjougahara". I thought I'm the only one who does that until emnjay posted his gahara figure and it was written on the package like that as well :3
i've determined that living in a dorm makes playing VNs into an unbearable pain in the ass most notably grisaia having too many damn h-scenes to reasonably expect to play through any characters route.

Dungeon no Deai was about how I expected it to be. I'm disliking the VA for the MC though because of how ubiquitous he's starting to be in harem/rom com (also kirito) shows.

Yeah, I don't recommend watching Vivid if you're expecting something like the first three Nanoha series. Much more like shonen-ecchi magical girl series, much less like Gundam-girls.

I can't seem to find the post where I saw it but doing more research it seems the only thing confirmed is that the episode is one of two confirmed shirobako OVA's for this year. So it could be just a 1 or 2 time thing. I guess we will know within a year or two if the anime will actually be turned into a full series. It would be nice but it's probably just a fun OVA special.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the exodus OVA is basically the beginning to end compressed into 26 minutes The other OVA is just the same thing except for the third aerial squadron show
They would spend their money on something like Charlotte or another season of shirobako I think.
