I randomly stumbled upon Chihayafuru a few months ago. I was surfing MAL looking for something to watch and chose it because it was tagged "shoujo" and I wanted to find out what that term meant. Seriously, I didn't even do the obvious thing and google it. Turned out to be one of my favorite animes so far...

I watched the first two episodes of Gundam Seed and it's decent so far. One thing that really bothers me, though, is how annoying the main character can look sometimes, him and that blond girl too.

Its just a symptom of the Character Designer, but you get used to it after a while.

Madoka Movies 1 & 2
+ Show Spoiler +I thought 1 was really good. While most of the scenes were just cut and paste from probably the BDs, the movie still felt like it flowed really well and ended well on the "cliff hanger". Also, that "enough" scene was the best. The ED was really good too. Although, I can't really tell the difference between Magia and Magia - quattro. There was one track in the movie that actually had Japanese lyrics instead of the usual Yuki Kajiura random language (maybe a slower version of Mami's Theme idk), that was quite interesting. I don't remember which track it was though.
Movie 2 sucked significantly more, it just felt like watching the last 4 episodes w/o OP/ED. While you could also say that for Movie 1, something about how they did it in movie 2 just felt different/worse. Main thing was after Homura's "flashback" scene, they cut to the OP (from the TV series) after that. Wat? That was just awkward, having another OP play half way through the movie. It was even the same animations too =\.
Oh well, all in all, it wasn't too bad. I was hoping they'd have more hints about the third movie, but no luck. Also, the person who sat next to me during the second movie was a non-stop talking asshole during the entire movie. Made me remember why I hated going to theaters.

I was responding to Shauni's description of Umineko, who has read more of the VN than he has watched the anime. I wasn't recommending anything. Regardless, not even the PoS anime was about "cute girls doing cute things".

Okay, thats cool, he still classified Umineko as "cute girls doing cute things", which is entirely false no matter how you try and spin it. Even more so for him, since he read the source.

I don't know lol. I don't download anime, I just watch online, so whatever is on the site I use (I don't think it specifies) is what I watch.
One time I saw what I once suspected and now am certain is an episode of Gundam Seed. What I remember is they are on a boat and eventually water Gundams attack them. The main guy and the red hair girl are the only characters I remember. Since Destiny apparently blows chunks, I was wondering is this episode in regular Gundam Seed?

finished Nanoha A's movie. So good, but aside from obvious superior animation quality, I wouldn't say it was that much better than the series and they skipped some cool battles due to time constraints.
