Encountered black screen with "congratulations on making it this far" yadayada something about waking up...was that a dead end or do the character routes end abruptly like that? Argh I'm confused... someone, save me... don't want to risk spoilers by using google, lol.
WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME THAT!? WHY DO I HAVE TO DO KOMARI BEFORE FULL RIN?! ASJWIJJFDIQDQPLDPQ
*ahem*. I feel cheated on. Oh well, new game, go for anego, I guess... or can I just continue from an early save? Hmmm don't want to redo too much of the early stuff... -.-
But when the others are finished, can I continue on my current Rin save or do I need to go through it again? :S
Speeding through common route is easy because you've read it all before. Use that skip button. It literally takes five minutes if you don't bother with the minigames.
Don't reuse saves.
Very well. Anego it is then. Any recommendation on any of the other routes? Kud route seems to be hated, and I feel unfounded hate for Komari. Lol.
Haruka's route was pretty good, I pretty much ctrl'd through the komari route because I hated her character, and yes kud's route is astronomically bad. Sprint towards rin2!

The OP and ED for both seasons are great, but the actual OST songs are just--WOW.
It really adds so much to the enjoyability of the show.
No idea what rinne no lagrange is but damn, that was a really good soundtrack. Do you recommend to watch the anime? Looking for something new after I finish rewatching brotherhood.

When the loli chairwoman started talking ecchi stuff to Madoka, that part was especially entertaining. And having Muginami and Lan in the back all shocked and stuff, haha, so priceless. Very good balance of comic relief and plot development in this ep. Very nicely done.
Also noticed the ears Madoka was wearing: Very similar to Tabane's rabbit ears, hehe. Thought that was pretty cool.

Hm, I only watched like 3 episodes of it before stopping. Maybe I'll give it another chance, lol.
The chronology is a bit confusing. Like for example, episode 5 is from Volume 8, but some of the later episodes are going to be from previous novels. Also, I heard about ALO and GGO. How are they related to SA:O?

Hm, iirc I was already hooked by 3 episodes in. I guess its hit or miss for some people.
I find the girls to be quite likeable and the story to be pretty interesting. Add that with great animation and music, and you got yourself a enjoyable show.
Long awaited 4th vox is here? Shits pretty cray cray with the whole Yurikano thing. I wonder if her pyche got fcked up by Dizelmine with his experiments, or if it was from actually tapping into the rin-ne to destroy that one planet they keep referring to, Militia.
Either way, its pretty obvious that using the full potential of rin-ne is enough to damage your psyche and end up something like how Yurikano is.

Question about the light novels, since I haven't read them (I don't mind being spoiled):

Chronology wise, the real plot of Volume 1 won't happen till probably like episode 7 or 8 at this rate. I've complained about this before in terms of the LNs, but the guy who wrote it literally has no idea how to handle plot progression.
ALO and GGO are big spoilers. If you really want to know, + Show Spoiler +
At the end of SAO volume 1, they clear the game, thus getting out of SAO and are able to play other games. ALO and GGO are other games that they play later on in the series, after they have beaten/gotten freed from SAO.

Ah, I see... makes sense. Yeah, I don't mind spoilers, since I always manage to be surprised regardless and it doesn't diminish my level of enjoyment. Thanks for the info.
Can someone recommend me an anime? I have watched Death Note and a bit of Naruto and Bleach. Only liked Death Note. I also read a bit of Liar's Game and I liked that too. What makes me like them is when the characters constantly try to outsmart one another (e.g. the "mind games" between L and Light in Death Note). If someone could recommend me an anime similar to those that'd be great. Thanks!
Edit: Also would be cool if someone could recommend a good horror anime (I don't even know if that exists).
Edit 2: Sorry, didn't see the chart at the page top before I made my post. I'll check it and see if I can find something that interests me.

The mind games thing would be from the psychological chart, but aside from something like Kaiji/Akagi (same mangaka) I'll frankly say that you won't really find anything. For better or for worse the majority of manga is like reading young adult books at your library. Almost everything is written by authors who either aren't smart enough to write smart character/tricks like that or don't bother. Also if you think about it Death Note is pretty boring in terms of outsmarting and such
Horror is also slim pickings (not in the rec chart for that reason). Gyo is a movie that came out recently for it, but otherwise you're really stuck with watered down "ho-lol" (aka c-class horror) or contrived shit.
IMO anyways.
Edit: Actually, you might like "I Am A Hero." If you follow that line of relevant stuff you might find stuff. But that's a manga, not an anime, so... if you're looking specifically for just anime you're sorta stuck heh.
Yeah, Kaiji looks like something that I could like. I'll check that out. If I don't like it I'll just work my way through all the recommendations and hopefully I'll find something. Thanks for being helpful.
I've been watching MLA:TE without playing any of the games or reading any of the novels. Hoping somebody here can clear up some question I have since I can't seem to find the relavent information after browsing through the discussion and googlin' through wiki's. 1. Just how old is Bridges? 2. What genre is this anime? I know it's mecha but other sub-categories? 3. Is there an actual novel for MLA: TE specifically that the show is following and if so is it online in a translated format?

Yuuya is probably late teens, early 20s? I don't know if they ever said how old he is. Probably about the same age as Yui.
Mecha, military, sci-fi, action.
TE is a Light Novel series, and also has an ongoing manga adaptation. Thus far, only a tiny few manga chapters have been translated, and none of the light novel.
There is Muv-Luv stuff that has been translated, but not much Total Eclipse stuff at all.
I'm enjoying this so far. Background on Wakana is never a bad thing. Never. Reminds me of Angel Beats, which is the best show ever. I want to see more of Vienna's problems (which seem nonexistent at this point), and more Sawa because Sawa is awesome.
Wakana is so depressed, though. Typical "I blame myself for everything" character (although she certainly seemed to have an obsession with school as a kid).
They suddenly dropped Liberta's issues, despite them being introduced last episode, which is...meh. Seeing some stuff about Nova's background is cool, but they still haven't really introduced any real conflict. The Duello serves no purpose at all; in fact, these "mid-life crises" could have taken place at ANY point, I feel, without using the Duello as a catalyst. I haven't seen the source material, but meh.
I think I'll save Lagrange and Chocolate for tomorrow.
