you know the funny thing is, this is the first time I noticed that your name didnt have "Talrog" either, Maybe its some wierd illusion but I would always look at it and read it that way till now. So I can see why that would happen to him aswell.

I'm sad that no one's weighed in on it but it appears your post said everything there is to say about the issue. Personally I think Kshatriya wins. vs Nightingale: The Gundam wiki numbers show Nightingale with a greater max weight. Even your numbers don't show an insurmountable weight advantage for Nightingale, especially considering Kshatriya's more than twofold power output advantage. I think at the very least Kshatriya would maintain parity in mobility. Of course there's still uncertainty without a full set of numbers. Finally as you said Kshatriya shits all over Nightingale in pure armaments and an I-Field (but hey, Nightingale has a shield.) vs Quin Mantha: Poor Quin Mantha is one heavy mother. With a max weight over twice that of Kshatriya and a power output not even 40% greater, plus a story that puts the Kshatriya as the smaller, nimbler descendant of Quin Mantha, I think it's safe to say Kshatriya has the mobility edge here. Quin Mantha stands out here by having more funnels (can never have enough funnels) and by its mega particle deflectors. This says the deflection system is essentially an I-Field that allows incoming beams to be fired back. These two attributes seem to give the Quin Mantha an edge in all-range beam combat. At medium range though, Kshatriya is armed to the teeth with two mega particle cannons per binder, four more in the chest, and a beam gatling per arm. And then we have Kshatriya's ridiculous 6 beam sabers at close range. Both impressive armories. I feel that Kshatriya has the versatility edge in being more mobile and having its firepower spread across more weapon types. Its close range firepower is also unrivaled. Notes: Mobility is still a hazy discussion since we don't have thorough thrust numbers, don't know where it's directed (binders, verniers), how it relates to power output. Kshatriya and Quin Mantha both have the interesting vulnerability of relying on binders. Kshatriya mounts thrusters on them and Quin Mantha houses deflectors. Both host weapons. All three mobile suits here rely heavily on beam weaponry. One possible contender, the Sinanju, sports plenty of ballistic weapons. It's also safe to say that the Sinanju is far more mobile than the rest of these. I wouldn't say regular, but I do it every once in a while. Disappointed that no one pays attention. vs. Nightingale: The thing about Gundam Wiki, is that I'm 90% sure that the weight it says of the Kshatriya isn't counting the 4 binder wings. MAHQ, which is the other place full of gundam specs, lists the binder weight at 22tons each (if I read it right), which in the end makes the Kshatriya tons heavier than the Nightingale. As far as the Nightingale having a shield, lol I honestly don't know why they continued making shields in the UC after beam weapons became standard affair. Beams cut through that stuff pretty well, so they are mainly useful vs convention weapons. Plus in theory, each of the Kshatriya's binder wings could be used as a shield, giving it 4 shields. vs. Quin-Mantha: It does seem like in close combat the Kshatriya would win, due to 6 arms/beam sabers, and being more nimble. The Quin-Mantha's number of funnels is pretty crazy, but then again its not THAT much more than Kshatriya's. This one is alot more interesting than vs Nightingale, but in the end the Kshatriya is armed to the teeth, smaller, and only lacking in funnel count and Quin-Mantha's I-Field-On-Crack. vs Sinanju: It by far would be the most mobile, but honestly I think lack of funnels really hurts it. Even the Sazabi had funnels. As a purely dueling mobile suit, it could probably do fine, since its mobility would certainly help in dodging funnel shots, but against the Kshatriya, there are 24 it would have to dodge. If you think of the number of funnels that Char + Show Spoiler + lol On November 11 2011 02:36 {ToT}ColmA wrote: noooo, mecha is only mech..no tsundere...u cant have shit with tsundere u can only ve tsundere with moe..dont destroy my illusions IDK what you even said, but you realize 'tsundere' is a type of character, and not a type of anime? I'm confused, what does the Shining Gundam have to do with Nanoha...? Nanoha is clearly a cross between http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/RX-78-2 and http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/RX-93-2_Hi-Nu_Gundam

Isn't Shana popular, while Angel Beats is not? Those contests are simply popularity polls, unless its the Newtype poll that had Kira Yamato at #1 for like 10 years in a row, that was a reflection of the character being objectively better than everything else.

Well considering that Tenshi went undefeated during the season, I'd say it's a surprising result. While I did expect more voting in general for the final bracket, I didn't expect it to this height. I think this'll learn Misaka fans to not become complacent if she goes up against Shana in the finals. Misaka got second in the season, losing only a round to Tenshi. I also hope a lot of Tenshi voters will vote for Misaka as revenge. But it doesn't even matter because Senjougahara is out anyway. T___T

Misaka might be the only reason to watch Index and is a better character, but popularity+much more recent (Shana 3) is a really big advantage.

Uh Angel Beats! is really popular dude. ADT is full of hipsters, we don't represent the masses. Besides, even though the anime sucked, Kanade is amazing.

Misaka is a good reason to watch Index, but I didn't like Railgun at all, it was pretty boring. Near the end I had thought about dropping it a few times, especially when it started to deviate from the manga.

Near the end I had thought about dropping it a few times, especially when it started to deviate from the manga. The thing is people have terrible memories and don't truly get attached to characters, especially the majority of ISML voters. If 2 popular characters get matched against each other, the more recent one tends to win. Hina is more popular than Kanade, but Kanade is way more recent than Hayate season 2. Same reason Azusa beat Hina last year. Shana beating anyone is not surprising as she is the only character who has dominated every year and consistently places high which is especially impressive considering there was no Shana series being aired in the last 3 years. With Shana 3 airing right now, it wouldn't surprise me if she finally took first place. This also explains why Kanade beat Shana in regular season but now that Shana is airing, suddenly she gets more voters. Also, I'm pretty sure last year all the Mio fans voted for Misaka making Shana lose to her twice because Shana vs Mio would have been a lot more closer than the easy win Mio ended up having in the finals. Actually after looking at the brackets, it looks like Shana will finally get her ISML championship.

It makes perfect sense. And the rules are robust. Votes are low because of the amount of verification that has to go on. The amount of cheating in both saimoe and ISML was unbelievble before. And there is no Madoka if no one nominated those characters while the brackets were being assembled or if they were defeated while fighting for a place in the bracket.

Actually what he meant is probably 1, 15k is a puny amount of votes, 2, Madoka one of the biggest hits this year, something must've gone really wrong for older animes to have more nominations. Not that he likes Madoka, but rather that the whole thing doesn't make any sense.
