What do you guys think the best Mobile Suit ever produced by the Zeon was? By Zeon, I don't just mean the Principality of Zeon, but any of the different Zeon movements (which goes up all the way to Unicorn). I think there are two possible candidates. One is the MSN-04II Nightingale from the novel version of Char's Counterattack, and the other is the NZ-666 Kshatriya from Gundam Unicorn.

Basically, in the novel that Char's Counterattack was based off of, the Nightingale was Char's final mobile rather than the Sazabi. Visually, IDK if the Nightingale is one sexy mother fucker, or an abomination lol. But it is VERY powerful. For close range, the Nightingale has 2 beam saber, and 1 beam tomahawk, and a total of 4 arms (2 hidden arms). So in theory, the Nightingale can fight with 3 melee weapons and still have 1 hand to spare for its rifle.
The Nightingale has a total of 10 funnels, 2 vulcan cannons, and 1 mega beam rifle. Its shield also contains anti-mobile suit missiles. Wiki doesn't mention if the Nightingale has a mounted mega particle gun in the actual mobile suit like the Sazabi did, but I would think it would share it.

Look at that sexy motherfucker... I'm not gonna like, the Kshatriya one of my favorite mecha designs of all time. I remember I took one look at the Kshatriya when Unicorn came out, and ordered its Gunpla lol
But lets talk armaments. Close range the Kshatriya is a complete beast. It has a total of 4 hidden arms, and each arm is equipped with its own beam saber, for a total of 6. 6 arms, each with a beam saber. That is alot. And considering the range of the hidden arms in its binders, melee wise even getting in close would prove a difficult task.
With other armament, the big thing is funnel count. The Kshatriya has 24 funnels. Now that I think about it, it honestly just seems like the Kshatriya shits on the Nightingale, maybe this isn't such an interesting comparison after all... Anyway, to continue, the Kshatriya has 12 Mega Particle Cannons. It has 4 of them on its chest, and then 2 more on each wing. So basically the Kshatriya is fucking ridiculous. Also has 2 beam vulcan cannons located on its chest.
You guys remember that Beam Gattling Gun that Unicorn got a hold of in episode 3? That originally belonged to the Kshatriya. There are 6 Beam Gatling Guns listed under its optional armaments, and considering that it has 6 hands, in theory it could use them all at the same time. Holy shit.
Finally, the Kshatriya has an I-Field Generator. I-Fields deflect beams.
Just looking at the armaments, the Kshatriya shits all over the Nightingale. 6 beam sabers is scarier than 2 beam sabers and a beam axe, 24 funnels are scarier than 10, 12 Mega Particle Cannons that can pretty much shoot in any direction is scarier than 1 Mega Particle Rifle. I-Field Generator is scarier than none.
So if the Nightingale is going to have any advantages, it has to be in speed/mobility. The are both about the same head height (22.5m vs 22.3m), but the Nightingale is somehow even heavier than the Kshatriya in both standard and max weight. I looked at MAHQ, and apparently that isn't factoring in the weight of the Kshatriya's binders. So the Nightingale is standard at 48.2 tons, with a max of 105.7 tons. The Kshatryia with all 4 binders is 118.62 tons (lol), with max weight being 162.94 (lol). So it looks like the Nightingale has a DEFINITE weight advantage.
If we look at their power-output from their reactor, the Nightingale's is rated at 6760 kW, while the Kshatriya is rated at 16540 kW. Considering the Kshatriya's weight, that seems appropriate. MAHQ lists Kshatriya's maximum thrust at 197800 kg, while it doesn't list anything like that for the Nightingale. With the Nightingale, it has 42 verniers, which is a fuck ton, but it doesn't list a number for the Kshatriya. If I remember correctly from my Kshatriya gunpla, each wing has 2, and then there were several in the back, but it don't think it comes close to 42.
Seems like a classic case of mobility vs power, but we don't have hard numbers to compare their mobility. And power wise, the Kshatriya shits all over the Nightingale.
Maybe a better comparison would be Kshatriya vs Quin-Mantha?

The Kshatriya was designed to be a smaller version (lol at the Kshatriya being a 'small' version of anything). Quin-Mantha had more funnels, but the description of weapons isn't as detailed as the Kshatriya's, so its kinda hard to make a comparison.

Spent a few days reading Unbalance x2 now and it looks like I caught up with it just before it's coming to an end.

Mobile Suit Nanoha Force, is an on-going manga set after StrikerS. Hopefully we will get an anime of it once the manga finishes.
