Keep paying attention. Not the kind of movie that you can semi-watch.
But, just not my kind of movie.
Having said that: that is entirely due to my own tastes. I can objectively state that it is a pretty good movie that some people will certainly enjoy. Especially the more science inclined.
It's a French film where a man gets into an accident, and he becomes totally paralyzed. The movie is shot in first person, and the only way he can communicate is by blinking. + Show Spoiler +
Then I think, IIRC, he falls in love with a nurse but he dies in the end. Anyone recognize?

I saw it. It's very interesting, but VERY complicated. Even after rewatching it a few times I'll still not entirely sure what exactly happened.
I think however it's the only movie I've ever seen that dealt with Time Travel in a realistic manner. (If TT could even be realistic)

Le Scaphandre et le papillon or The Diving Bell and the Butterfly in English, amazing movie.

Spoiler alert bro.
@ All others: thanks for responding. I'm gonna give it a try.

Thanks, it was incredibly moving, as I remember it
I was expecting more, they had a great idea and ruined it with how idiotic the main character (andrew) was with his powers. And just in general how all 3 boys were stupid with their powers. Probably the worst part about the movie was the fucking camera angles...always from a camera from within the movie. Toward the end, however, they made a decent attempt at using odd cameras throughout the setting bywhich to show the story.
Kari-gurashi no Ariettihttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt1568921/ I love studio Ghibli and Miyazaki for all their previous work, so obviously I had high expectations for this movie. If you look at it for what it is - a small movie - then I'd say it's really good. Though I'm used to be amazed after a Miyazaki movie, I didn't feel the need to re-watch this one right away... but I probably will in a near future. Watch Tonari no Totoro http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096283/ if you haven't!

Kinda ridiculous sometimes, but it has the plot twists you're looking for and is definitely a way above average movie.
Seen it, loved it!!!! Thats exactly kind of movies i really enjoy!! Keep you exited till the end, and then you go WTF? and rewatch it all completely again for it to make sense .
If you liked The Prestige you might enjoy The Illusionist, Brick and Perfume. Pretty sick movies.
Thanks!!! Will give those a try!!
Tonight i watched I saw the devil after i saw some people discuss it in this thread earlier. Really good movie imo! Quite graphic, but not as bad as really! Exciting and cool movie! DEfinitly a worth watch!
Some thoughts on it: After watching 13 Assassins, I was looking for more blood crazy samurai movies to watch. I chance upon The Twilight Samurai and I had to pretty much wait for the movie to end to see a fight scene. A "fight" scene that had two men gasping for breath and one going senile. However, do not let this scare you off from this beautifully directed movie. It has immensely powerful messages of purpose, tolerance, conformity, duty, ambition and most of all...love. The ending could have been less try hard in my opinion (christ let the guy have his girl for more than just 3 years T_T), but all in all a very great love story and a tale teaches us lifelong lessons.
Sebei is very restrained in his affection for Tomoe, even though he has loved her since they were children. But due to the samurai culture, he could not show his true emotions to her as duty and protocol always came first. Then in the end, Sebei says "fuck it" and just grabs her hand in front of everyone and holds her (this in feudal Japan is akin to having sex in public), while the neighbors are watching. I think he learned a lesson from death and from the love of his life. Love is always first.
Holy crap! Amazing movie! The score, the landscapes, the acting... I really love this slow paced mystery/thriller movies. Highly recommended for everyone.
This. Watched it a couple of days ago; there were a couple of eye-rolling moments but overall a great movie.
Honestly didn't expect a whole lot from this movie but, damn, I was mistaken. Absolute masterpiece.
wouldn`t call it masterpiece, but I still recommend everyone to watch it. You will not be bored, no matter what kind of movies you like and it might give you some interesting thoughts as a bonus. 7-8/10
watched "Headhunter" on Friday and it`s pretty good. I like skandinavian movies in general, as they often have some kind of unique directness and this movie adds twists and action, to make it very enjoyable to watch. IMDb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1614989/
