I think that's the point. Stannis is supposed to be the most uptight character in the series.
Yah and right before they bang, they're talking about how his wife is repulses him, and stannis doesn't seem like the kind of guy who diddles himself so it makes sense he gets like 6 awkward thrusts before he cums.
Did Joffrey react like that when Cersei slapped him in the book? Its been a while since I read them but I thought I remembered him being a little bitch when it came to her.
I had completely forgotten about Renly. Trying to keep all the names and factions straight is still tough.
So, as of the 2nd episode, we have Snow and his men as well as Stannis making their way to King's Landing. Where is Renly right now and what, exactly, is he doing? Then there's Balon, and it looks as though he's going after Robb/his army.
Individuals aside, am I missing any factions immediately involved in that particular conflict? I mean, there's Daenerys' group, but they have their own issues to deal with for the time being.
Edit: Plenty of Tyrion is always a good thing. Would have loved more of Daenerys' being a badass. Overall, the episode felt a bit dry up until the very end.
Also, Arya's scene was great.
"Do not call me m'lady!" "As you command, m'lady." *shove* "That's unlady-like."

Seems like it or they just haven't casted her. Melisandre said Stannis had no sons, but she didn't say no daughter. Then again she said all his wife gave him were sons and stillborns.

Also for everyone who watched all of Season 1 these parodies are good
(Haven't read the entire thread to know if it's been posted before)
Hey guys, I was wondering if someone could help me.
I could only half hear what Littlefinger was saying to that whore, and thus kinda missed the point of the whole conversation, and I don't really wanna watch it again. Can someone please explain what was up? Thanks.

The only Snow introduced so far afaik is Jon Snow who's currently North of the Wall and not making his way towards King's Landing.
There are the following factions: Joffrey "Baratheon" who holds King's Landing and is primarily supported by the Lannisters. Robb Stark who holds the North and the Riverlands. Renly Baratheon who is raising a gigantic army in the South. We haven't seen anything directly from him this season. Stannis Baratheon who only holds the island of Dragonstone and some of the surrounding lands and doesn't have much of an army to speak of. Balon Greyjoy who controls the Iron Isles. He doesn't have a large army, but his Navy is quite strong as the Iron Islanders are very skilled at naval warfare. There are two more great Westerosi houses which are currently neutral, namely Arryn (led by Catlyn's sister Lysa) and Martell in the far South of whom we haven't seen anything yet.
Then there's Danaerys Targaryan who has Dragons but nothing else really and she's also half a world away from Westeros.
Well I saw episode 2, how did it come out so fast it hasn't aired on tv yet has it? And also if this episode came out the day after episode 1 can we expect episode 3 to leak tomorrow?

As someone who hasn't read the books, I also found the scene with Stannis (?) and his advisors to be totally over my head. The ritual made no sense, and as for the poisoning, I thought he just poisoned her glass but she switched it back on him or something. Subtlety is okay with me, but I think too much was left implied by that scene. I didn't get a sense for any of those characters besides the man who died.
Cersei vs Littlefinger was the standout best scene in the episode, in my opinion, although the baby-killing at the end was quite effective, and all of Tyrion's scenes were great as usual. I really can't wait for next week! @_@
Well you could figure out they were burning the seven as that was mentioned and shown - abandoning that faith and also adapting a new one. You also saw the maester poison his own glass, drink from it first then melissandre drank from it going all "and not a single fuck was given". You also learned that Davos is trusted by Stannis for telling the truth and being honest, while the same being very loyal. He also knew about the maesters plot of poisoning melissandre and you also learned that he hence didnt like them abandoning the seven. . PLenty of info imo
