I could only half hear what Littlefinger was saying to that whore, and thus kinda missed the point of the whole conversation, and I don't really wanna watch it again. Can someone please explain what was up? Thanks. He told her how he once bought a whore that was depressed all the time. Then he sold her to a man who wanted to do things that most men couldn't even think of (implying something rather cruel or sickening) and he sold her because he doesn't like to make a bad investment. Then he tells her to go home and start working again the next day, threat implied. Basically reinforcing the notion that Littlefinger doesn't care much for other people and is more than willing to cut throats to get where he wants to be. A scene to balance out the one where Cersei handed him his lowborn ass.

Can someone please explain what was up? Thanks. Basically he said that she means nothing to him. She's just an investment. So she has to stop crying and make profit, because LF "doesn't like" bad investments. Of course he didn't tell her that bluntly, since our dear Petyr loves his stories. So he told her about a sad whore who once worked for him. She didn't make any profit so LF sold her to perverts who made her do unspeakable things. Didn't make her happy, but it made LF's purse happy. e: ninja'd

Do you also call everyone you buy something from a thief? On April 03 2012 14:00 itkovian wrote: Just watched episode 1, wasn't too pleased with the acting honestly. Probably because they lost their two best actors last season (Sean Bean and Mark Addy). I hope the current actors can step it up and grow into their roles a little better as the show progresses. I'm glad they can afford to do CGI for the wolves now, because regular dogs weren't really doing the direwolves justice last season. Sean Bean is a big name, but plays stereotypical tragic roles. Mark Addy? He plays him like a bum with power. Acting is generally between fine and sufficient, though. By the way, mods are doing a bad, bad job. People keep posting book stuff regularly in this one, while the other thread is full with deliberate spoilers just for spoiling's sake.

Well, mods are doing ok job, but getting spoiled is not fun, so the "No spoilers" tag on title would be appreciated, cause some people are not aware that there are 2 threads of this. One says "spoilers", so the other saying "no spoilers" would be logical.

Ah thanks so much, I kept wondering who was meant by the war of the 5 kings when I could only count 4 so far. I can't wait to see what this 2nd king of the North is like.

Daenerys would be the 7th one if she showed up, no?
