Never really watched naruto, might give it a try, if i can find where to watch it that is.
the anime sucks, lot of fillers, instead of that read the manga at onemanga.com
QFT.
The only thing I like about the anime is some of the battles which are epic and pretty well drawn... Sasuke vs. Naruto, Kimimaro vs. Rock Lee, Rock Lee vs. Gaara, etc.

Wrong. The 3rd and the 4th were both Hokage at the same time. How could the 4th die BEFORE the 3rd died without them overlapping. Think about that.
But Naruto will NOT be Hokage any time soon. When the series finally ends, it will be with Naruto becoming Hokage (or dying which would be way cooler), or alluding to the fact that he will be Hokage soon.
I think Danzou is a pretty good guess for the next hokage. It would shake things up and make for some interesting friction/drama.
"A Kage may retire and give the title to someone else; the title, once granted, is held permanently. This creates a case where there are two Kage at the same time, with only one of them actually active -- as was with the Fourth Hokage and the Third Hokage"
Depends on how you define it. There is only 1 active hokage, but hokage is permanent title and only is given up with death.
So sure you were. lol, all 3 of you.
EDIT: I could see how you would interpret it your way (focusing on the actions rather than the title itself).
Why are you such a douchebag?
It's the same thing as saying there are 4 presidents of the united states right now. There is only one. The others are still alive, and yes, they're still presidents, but you don't say that there are four presidents of the USA right now.
It isn't. Pein just finished fighting AN ENTIRE VILLAGE and he just used whatever pein clone creation technique compared to Pein having been sitting in his little tower resting. Additionally the frogs could not do much on his shoulders specifically because they had to be helping jiraya with using sage chakra while moving. Naruto is completely independant of that.
I agree, plus we all knew Naruto had this amazing skill to pick up techniques faster than the rest, i mean it's not so much the building of a hyperbolic time chamber, but mastering the art of using shadow clones...

Considering Kishi's reluctance to killing off "MAIN" characters....
cough neji, chouji, (pretty much everyone in the rescue sasuke arc), etc.
Asuma was pretty much fodder, and so were the rest of the akatsuki's. Itachi's death was pretty lame IMO but he was fodder for his lovechild sasuke. Jiraiya passes on his will to Naruto.. yeah.
Anyway, I wonder what's been going on with the the bandaged old man aka leader of the root. Forgot his name. Wasn't he supposed to be getting a coup ready or something?

You are an idiot. If you want to make comparisons you need to think first. Kage is a rank, not just a political position. Just like Genin, Jounin, etc.
So if you want to make a comparison, it should be to military ranks like colonel or general. When they retire, they retain the rank they attained. They continue to be honored with that rank but they are not active.
Unless I hear excess stupidity after this that deserves a beat down, I am done with this discussion since it is so minor/unimportant.

"There can only be one Kage per village, and this Ninja is the one in charge of that village." This is from one of the links YOU provided. Heres another 1 "Each village has a single Kage, who is the strongest of all ninjas and the political figurehead whom represents the village."

Rather than picking 1 line, you could post the entire thing. Here is the whole definition of Kage:
"Those who have achieved the title of Kage (影, Kage? literally "Shadow") are the leaders of the five most powerful Hidden Villages and generally (but not exclusively) the most powerful ninja in their respective villages. These villages do not rule the country, but are equal to the government. The Kage stand equally with the rulers of their countries, oversee the activities of their villages, and are the leaders of ninja society. There may be exceptions, however, as a ninja may be the most powerful at the time of being installed as Kage, but may become less powerful upon aging, eventually being surpassed by a more youthful ninja. A Kage may retire and give the title to someone else; however, once granted, the title is held permanently, creating a situation where there are two Kage at the same time, with only one of them actually active. Their elite status is also attributed to the tendency for most Kage to have family members who were previous Kage, or be personally taught by a former Kage or student of a former Kage, or some combination of these factors. The anime introduced a sixth Kage, the Hoshikage (星影, literally "Star Shadow"?) from Land of Bears. However, this was a self-given title and not officially recognized by the five other villages. Most Kage tend to be at S-Rank level. The five Kage have different titles depending on their country."

Anything catch your eye?
Thats 1/3 let me post the other 2.
"Kage - The highest level of Ninja that can achieved, Kages are extremely powerful, and know many different techniques. There can only be one Kage per village, and this Ninja is the one in charge of that village. Having strength matched by virtually no one (except perhaps a Sage), they are extremely respected by others. Each of Ninja villages calls their Kage a slightly different name. Here are the names used by the villages, along with what that name means. Ho (Fire), Kaze (Wind), Mizu (Water), Rai (Lightning), Tsuchi (Earth). Each of those names is put infront of the word Kage. For example, Ho (Fire), would be Hokage, and Kaze (Wind), would be Kazekage."
and
"Each village has a single Kage, who is the strongest of all ninjas and the political figurehead whom represents the village. Duties include assigning missions, judging the Chuunin and Jounin Exams, acting as a battle strategist, and finally protecting the city."
