It did happen but he didn't t reveal his entire face just half. According to the part of the face he did reveal, it didn't look like Madara at all. Hair, wrinkles on face etc... he looks much like Obito than Madara if you compare them. You can say that Madara aged and got a hair cut, but don't see how you can say he looked like the original Madara.
