Yeah thats interesting u7 being mostly villians especially with goku also seen as a sadistic villian who would bring thr dwstruction of univereses just to fight for fun
Also i didnt know that there were two female sayians till today always thought they wre the same person rofl nut outside of fembroly i doubt the other two are going to hold a candle to 18 and 17 judging by how they destroyed vegetas first sayian transformation let alone be anywhere near goku and vegeta and now golden frieza which is also interesting cause he is about to discover more sayians ahahah

I'd be fun to see golden Frieza get rekt by chick Broly. Losing to a saiyan again.

I so hope that now that the truth is out, they drop Tien, Krillin and Roshi. I mean, they even made Beerus say it: "The universe is huge, yet all 10 of of you are from this one trash planet." I mean, that is what a critical audience is thinking the whole time. Yet the writers decided to have Beerus put salt on the weakness of the plan of their protagonists. So what next?
Oh, and the whole Roshi thing and young girls? Is culture enough of an excuse? Ok ok, shallow sexist/misogynism in a 90's Japanese cartoon aimed at teenagers. Fine. But now it is 2017, DB has a global audience, and all these teenagers that once watched DB and DBZ are now grown up, hopefully 'cured', and the new teenagers we have should be completely above the backwardness of this part of Japanese society.
Yet they still think it is comic relief to do those scenes? Really? So Japan has literally almost not moved at all in terms of healthy gender roles?
As they established that saiyans alone have this absurd propensity for exponentially increasing in power, it is a nice idea that they now have a mirror universe that actually has a complete race of saiyans. But they go about it a bit odd. What kind of people are they exactly? And why do they have to tell themselves that they are saiyans? Cauliflower says to Cabba: "Aitsu mo saiyajin da yo.", like she already knows only saiyans can go 'super saiyan' (can't they change that word, btw, it sounds so stupid now in 2017). So in universe 6, we have a planet with humans, and then saiyans who are either martial artists or leaders of gangs? I see a dragonball wiki calls her the leader of 'saiyan punks', so I am not that far off. That's how it seems to be to me. So what really is the story here? They are still a planet of mercenaries for anyone with ambitions to build galactic empires? At least planet Vegeta had a clear back story that made sense. Now that they have a whole new planet full of saiyans, why not explore it more? I understand that in universe 6, they are more peaceful, so they didn't destroy their own planet.
If I remember correctly, in universe 7, saiyans weren't known for their strength, but for their ability to be obedient willing servants.
Also, do all saiyans from universe 6 look like kids?
I do hope that they don't turn Freeza into a permanent ally, but I don't know why. That is what they did with Piccolo, Vegeta, androids, even with Buu.
I still hope Krillin and Roshi are out, and they find some reason to get Buu back. Then Freeza and maybe whoever Beerus/Whis plan C is. Otherwise, that's so boring. I mean, does anyone actually see it differently? I have seen people bring it up here before. Do the writers really think we want to see Roshi fight some no name alien?
Also, why don't Goten and Trunks never grow up? If you want new characters that can still develop their personality, find their role in life, grow stronger, they have characters to do that with right here.
As an amateur writer myself, I so very often do not understand the way other people develop their plot and story-line archs.

Saiyans were a warrior race and used by Freiza to conquer planets. They were very strong. Frieza specifically kills them because they could pose a threat to his rule in the future. So yes they were quite strong.
They did tell a bit about Saiyans in universe 6. Mainly that they're good guys who fight evil. They got more development than any other race so I don't see a problem with that.

I also have to say that while the idea of Freeza coming back is awesome I'm a bit upset that Buu gets twice bumped. I somehow get the feeling that the issue is that his OP regeneration power makes him a difficult character to properly use since he will be basically invulnerable.

This wouldn't have been an issue at all for this tournament because it's with out of bounds rules anyway.

wasnt it cause they transform into unstoppable huge monkeys that shit on everything, they were collectively stronger even without the transformation, aside from a few henchman right beside frieza when compared to the rest of frieza's army.
I wish goten and trunks did grow up, but they're meant to be right between buu saga age and the end of dbz (when they meet uub for the tournament) and seeing as they didnt age much during uub's cameo it doesnt make sense for them to be older or grow old because then they cant line it up (not sure if they even should...)

the no kill is gonna screw up frieza, when has he ever not killed when fighting, he even just blasts his own soldiers away for nothing i like frieza from frieza saga, i personally dont want him back in super especially not to become a friend of goku (theres no way the writers even want that 100% sure he will backstab the sayians) the writers had a choice of buu or frieza they should have stuck with buu.
They wont kick anyone else out of the group now because everyone is willing to fight after this ep so no chance of other races or cell (please dont touch cell)
My main hope for the series is to lose the minor characters, they have done enough and had enough screentime through the history of dragon ball/z, there are plenty of new characters from new universes new friends new villians to play around with story wise and everyone watching dbs is here for goku and vegeta (maybe gohan if he isnt a whimp)

I think they maybe had to write Buu out of the tournament. When he absorbs people, they don't die. So he could have absorbed toppo etc. Factor in how utterly indestructible he is, then look at his huge boost in power after training. He can also do everything that robot could do with spikes and suction. Buu would be essentially impossible to ring out, is incredibly power inefficient tonight against, absorbs power/technique/knowledge and is very strong. Frieza has limits.
Edit: A U7 strategy where everyone just tries set up opponents to be absorbed by Buu would be for sure game winning. I think this is why they removed Buu. If Vegeta and Goku were tasked with just getting enemies in a position where Buu could turn them into Chocolate or otherwise absorb them, U7 universe would snowball out of control. Buu could very feasibly absorb all of the furries with Gohan and Piccolo's help. All that they need is for them to be vulnerable enough to be turned into Chocolate. If that happened, he would be amazingly powerful. If Jiren is the strongest from U11, and it appears Goku and Vegeta are much stronger than Toppo, I think it is reasonable to believe Goku and Vegeta could manage to help Buu absorb Jiren. Once everyone had been either defeated or absorbed, Buu could release opponents individually as everyone rings them out 1 by 1.
But by this point, Buu would already be unbeatably powerful and would have been way long ago. Buu is the ultimate strategic checkmate situation.

Also I think it's worth mentioning that no one thought of Yamcha as the replacement. Fuckin savage.

I honestly don't even see Yamcha as a character. He's exclusively purposed for filler at this point.
|
He is indeed mostly there as a gag. But you gotta admit the setup was clearly there to make it seem like Yamcha might be tapped to go along.

Unfortunately, it has to do with the kinds of customers who consume anime at this point. I play a lot of Japanese videogames as well and many have these stupid anime gags and "waifu" crap in them.
It's a vicious cycle. This is what a lot of the hardcore fans want. The more casual fans that are turned off by it simply move on to other hobbies. The more niche something becomes, the less likely it will move on. And a lot of Japanese creators still mainly target Japanese fans and look upon international fans as a happy accident.

oh blahblah who cares about roshi misogynist sexist crap. those words get thrown around and are meaningless these days. real world isn't university. nobody cares about being politically correct, and you can't take over a campus, riot, set it on fire, and yell at professors because something offends you.
the roshi scenes were hilarious, and doubly hilarious is the implication that yamcha hangs out with puar all the time and is single...

Rosh is dumb at this point. It's all he does anymore. It's boring and it obnoxious to see him go nuts over every pair of tits.

The Roshi pervert aspect is honestly way past the point where it's funny or interesting. It's just a shitty joke that no one likes anymore.
|
It's never really been funny to me. Getting all butt hurt over it is dumb as well though. Just ignore it.
|
Roshi being a pervert isn't just a running gag it is a big part of his character. It's meant for comedic relief yea but it is a staple of his character. Him overcoming this is probably more character development than Goku has ever actually gone through in the entire series.
