after watching the latest ep, they are really emphasizing the fact that the god of all from the future keeps messing up the copied movement...its really werid im not sure...whats going on but i think the arc of this story is going to have more to do with the copy than the actual tournament, either that or its like the android into cell thing. All preview of next ep, spoils everything...oh no vegeta cant enter cause of bulma having a baby, NOPE thats not even contested at ALL cause the last shot is bulma's baby....well done... | ||

Goku has had 0 development, Gohans was pretty bad and everyone else is basically the exact same from the first time we met them. People are looking at this wrong, its not fake drama, we all know Vegeta is going, They know we know. This is about developing Vegeta's character further, showing now as a father he is even willing to miss training, and tournaments to let Goku get further ahead for the sake of his child being born. Which is a huge step, even when Trunks was born Vegeta wouldn't have skipped training or missed an amazing multiverse tournament. TLDR; Everyone knows he is going, they aren't building fake drama with it, just showing the fact he is willing to miss it and miss training is a big step for his character. | ||

Then we got retarded gohan...with a tiny hope when he went mystic and kicked ass but was an idiot (ironic considering all the studying he did) and turned into the let down he is now in super. Hoping they turn him back into a kickass fighter | ||

We started off with the 18 universes but something happened and 6 were removed from existence to leave us with out current twelve. Now the tournaments aim is to weed out the below mortal level 7 universes and save one of them that show the most potential left in the tournament. What if, just what if. The first 6 universes were removed because they had a mortal level when the omni king was at what we can perceive as a 1 year old already, below 1 still. So in order to make sure the growth of the omni king is unhampered, those with less than 1 are removed. Now, the omni king could pass off as a 7 year old (to me at least), and so the requirements now needs the universes the remain and what could influence the omni king to be 7 or greater. The grand priest is basically the alfred to the omni kings bruce wayne. And he needs to make sure the universes can keep up with the growth to influence the omni king to become batman. My idea stems from the flow of time where the omni king is ti be different to how we exoerience it. But we do see him as a child. The supreme kais and GoD of each universe were found to actually a greater purpose other than what we previously saw. They were kept in each universe to increase the mortal level of their universe. And a representative of the grand priest is there to keep tabs on them, as angels. And that could also be the reason for the rule of if the supreme kai dies the GoD dies and vice versa. It could be a change button the angels would use to replace inefficient performers. That is why whis was scouting and eventually training goku and vegeta, he was preparing beerus replacement already. About the angel off switch upon GoD death, there was no mention of what happens if a replacement was chosen though prior to removal of current GoD and no one has mentioned if the grand priest is unable to switch the angel on again if he decided to or chose a new GoD. Whis was already unhappy with what beerus performance is as he knows their mortal level couldnt keep up with the deadline of the grand priest. The problem though is that goku directly interacted with the omni king and sped up the timeline where the remaining universes needed to be mortal level 7 or higher via his request for a tournament. I suspect they had at least 1000 years as gowasu and zamasu traveled forward in universe 10 to see the growth of the planet. Universe 10 still exist then so most likely universe 7 too as well. Would 1000 years be enough to raise them to 7? Dont know, but they have a shot at raising it nonetheless. The supreme kais were also give tools to see forward the potential of a planet as a keep or destroy, their timerings. Whether or not they use it is left to them. They can choose a planet with potential that shows growth and make sure GoD doesnt destroy it. Help them grow faster or tell the GoD or angel assigned if the planet is a lost cause. No one has said the supreme kai and GoD cant cooperate and have a coordinate approach. Maybe thats one of the secrets of those that were excluded from the tournament. And the ban on use of timerings is changing the past, but no one said it could be used to influence the future. Goku was essentially the first being the omni king every really interacted with 'normally' which surpised everyone even the grandpriest at the end of the champa arc. And goku introduced another factor which necessitated the grand priest to act. He gave the omni king a playmate and someone he can continously interact with, a different version of the omni king that had future trunks timeline in it. You can also see how the omni king is easily influenced with how instead of sticking what he has executed, he chooses to mimic the other omni king at all turns. I always wonder why the need to show it. When it was first previewed, i thought the one doing the mimicing was the future trunks timeline omniking to make sure he was acting like the version of himself in our timeline. But since the reverse is happening, our omni king is maturing faster than originally planned and projected by the grand priest. The universes are basically the omnikings developmental toys and/or kit. And they will be whittled down to only those that can keep up with his growth. A 7 year old would no need for toy or book for a 3 year old so it can be removed from his play area. That is grand priests job and what the overall purpose of the omni king is. In the grand scheme of things, the characters we know and love are just specs inside the omni kings 12 marbles, like the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. If i remember it correctly. What do you guys think? Its just a theory. | ||

Regarding the idea that weaker universes need to be erased, what if it is actually that Zeno needs to consume universes in order to grow? I like your idea that his growth is bound by the lowest energy universe. But I am trying to think of what else could create a situation where there is an incentive for universes to be eliminated. I do certainly think there is some core motivation for power to grow. As I've touched on before when I described why Toppo won't necessarily be stronger that Goku, there is what appears to be an intrinsic value in power growth on a universal scale. Our supreme kai is the one doing something wrong by not inspiring growth in his universe. There are 2 other topics that I would like to discuss: 1. Jiren. After Toppo gets his shit rocked by Goku, he sniffles away saying 'my daddy will beat you up'. A lot of people here were convinced Toppo would be a lot stronger than Goku because he is being considered as a GoD replacement. But with Jiren being way stronger than Toppo, the idea that being considered as GoD is purely a function of strength falls apart. Why is Toppo considered for GoD while Jiren is not? Part of me wonders if part of the process of becoming a GoD is to become a beacon of justice/love/compassion. Toppo is clearly really into the whole justice thing and perhaps only people "with a pure heart" (such as Goku riding nimbus) who are also super strong are considered. Perhaps Jiren has his flaws. Perhaps Jiren just isn't interested. I don't know. 2. The grand priest was clearly aiming to prevent something from happening by stopping the fight. What did he want to prevent? I am not convinced by his reasoning. | ||

1) I'm thinking it's probably not about power but interest. I do find it a bit funny that you said that justice/love/compassion is part of being GoD. Beerus doesn't display much of those imo lol. Well, maybe justice but I don't seem the other two much lol. 2) hmm maybe you're reading too much into it. He probably figured that the tournament would be much better if both Goku and Toppo were at full strength if they participated. After all, 40 hours is all the time left before it starts. Unless Universe 11 has senzu beans, Toppo would be out of luck compared to Goku in that case. Also, maybe there are repercussions to them going all out at that moment and he didn't fully plan for it either. | ||
