Manga seems so-so, but I’m not really sure how it will play out as an anime. Moro just... doesn’t have much to offer as a villain, and the story arc suffers the same coherency issues that really dragged Buu down as an arc. Stopped bothering with Heroes. It’s just a sloppy fanfic at this point. | ||

Moro's magic tricks were fun, but now he's just another mega strong power fighter which makes you wonder how the fuck the Supreme Kais ever made any progress on him given that they were weaker than Kid Buu and yet Moro before rejuvenating on Namek would have clapped SSJ 3 Goku (who was pretty close to Kid Buu) and now once rejuvenated claps Ultra Instinct Sign Goku. Ultimately the series hasn't done itself any favors with the introduction of Gods of Destruction either, because one has to be left in a constant state of wondering why Beerus never does jack fucking shit. When people go rampant in the Universe and destroy everything, he sits on the sidelines not intervening - except for dealing with Zamasu but he left his Universe for that. Even though it's his and the Supreme Kai's shared job to make the Universe reach its maximum potential and even though he's been threatened with getting erased for having a low level Universe just in the previous arc - he still just lets Moro eat a lot of the inhabitated planets. And there's no good reason in sight. And of course they've still done my boy Vegeta dirty with 0 meaningful victories and I have to assume it shall stay that way forever. | ||

Thought they were going to do something special with him - the whole "he's not that strong, we could probably take him under the right circumstances" angle was a really solid one - but then they just didn't follow up. And then they brought Buu back as an ace in the hole and did nothing with him. It's just the same sort of pointless character buildup that deteriorated many of the later DB-series arcs, starting with the Buu arc. | ||

Would that prospect surprise anyone though? I also don't know what Buu could really do at this point. Moro is far stronger now than in the beginning of the arc so all Buu's really good for is maybe healing people and sponging some damage. | ||

Vegito needs the earrings, right? Who's there to give those? And they probably won't fusion dance to give us Gogeta either. Theoretically, they should need access to the earrings, but it wouldn't be the first time that some arbitrary retcon or update or convenient *poof* took care of the technicalities surrounding fusion haha. If the writers wanted Vegito, I wouldn't be surprised if a character simply flew right over with new earrings, etc. I dunno about Gohan... he did well in ToP but it would do a huge disservice to Vegeta's recent training to not include him in the actual win against Moro. | ||
