Maybe they're from one of the destroyed universes! Or maybe they're brothers in the sense that they're mirrors of each other, not like, literally born from the same parents.
Yeah idk how the pairing thing works with the destroyed universes either, but it feels like the universes originally being in groups of three is the quickest way to retcon clarify how the pairing rule makes sense when 33% of the universes were destroyed prior to the rule being mentioned.
Or I guess they could say that those universes were just off doing their own thing, no relation to the other twelve. It's Dragon Ball so you can't take anything off the table.

Oh baby. I like this. Part of me wonders if 13-18 were some sort of failed experiments. Artificially increasing mortal level through this or that means. Once things got out of hand, Zenoh through his hands in the ay-er and zapped em all away.

If you guys thought DBS ending was gonna make me post less theories, you were WRONG:
Theory: Dr Gero inadvertently created god ki when he made androids 17 and 18. They were edited on a cellular level, meaning they remain organic. They can train, improve their power, but their ki can not be sensed. So they can increase their ki, but no one can sense it. This is why, despite never training once in their lives, a basic human was beyond the power of a super saiyan. They were like baby gods. Kinda like Hercules.

I do recall hearing about the "pairs" of universes, with the Saiyans in both U6 and U7 and their GoDs a nod to that symmetry, yet in the other universe "pairs" we didn't see any symmetry or dichotomy unfortunately. It would have been interesting, for example, to see the antithesis of the Pride Troopers or something, in the same way that Saiyans were either a warrior race (U7) or more gentle and passive (U6). A super-slow Dyspo or a second Jiren who isn't a quiet, arrogant prick would have been pretty cool.

ending of black goku. trunks does epic rage power up dick slice cleave of zamasu, only for it to be pointless
crappy animation and fight scenes
scrubs in TOP giving the saiyans a hard time
gohan being a jobber
vegeta being a jobber
final ep left a lot to be desired. final ep of dbz showed people hanging out and having a good time. would've been nice to see that kind of wrap up
fights in super weren't as brutal. rewatching dbz piccolo vs 17 wow! you could feel each punch
pros:
first time trunks rage power ups and stomps zamasu to epic music
trunks epic rage power up dick slice cleave of zamasu to epic music
freeza trolling in TOP
sometimes the animation was good and so were the fights
jiren and goku fights

genuinely enjoyed almost all filler episodes. yamcha baseball had me lolling hard
overall grade = B

As far as filler goes, the ones that were very good include Yamcha baseball (I was impressed, I was expecting this to suck), one of the Krillin retraining ones, and the Saiyaman mini-arc. Potafu, Arale, and tourney prep left much to be desired. I guess Zen Exhibition Match is also filler by traditional definitions, and that one was mostly very good.

Either way, we should have at least seen some other pairings of worlds fight against each other in the ToP. Enough universes fought to guarantee this, mathematically.
