EPTPeople are really underestimating them, at worst they're a SSJ3 Goku. How is that not an improvement over Tien/Krillin.

Krillin and Tien doing anything remotely valuable was just fan service. The anime is way worse about this. The manga feels like a much more dignified version of the anime. | ||

Although the one way I could see it is selling the underlying theme about U7 being made up of former enemies, and gotenks being the pinnacle of that, considering their genesis, but they weren't really enemies themselves. | ||
