As such, it should be delicious. Now they just need to somehow work the fire fleet gambit from the battle of red cliffs into the movie and it's all set.

If they're going to make this into a trilogy, make the third one relevant and exciting, like "300: How 300 greedy people sank the entire country (The Greek debt crisis)". I would watch that in 3D

billions of pixles of CGI dont pay for themselves my friend. Who needs art or story when you can take good vs bad guy, add a little element of racism in there and let it all go. But I do like how they made sure we know that this time its not the Spartans but the Athenians by giving them blue capes instead of red capes. Go team Blue!

Movies are too expensive to just be art - you have to make money to make more movies. No money, no art.
The kind of philosophy behind Transformers 2 and 3, Clash of the Titans, and all the other abominations the Hollywood machine is spitting out. You can make good commercially successful movies with small budget (Little Miss Sunshine), and good commercially successful movies with big budget (Matrix).
