But I'm giving the series the benefit of the doubt for a while longer. Spoilers abound. + Show Spoiler + Like really, what is the titans' motives? If they wanted to destroy the human population, they would been able to do so easily for quite a while (assumably many years before they actually kicked in the door on the first wall). And if they wanted to just destroy them why bother infiltrating them with human titans. Personally I find it hilarious no one says "hey guys, there's no hole in the wall and that village totally had no people in it, so it's not such a stretch of the imagination now when we know there's humans who can turn into titans that those titans were human initially." It's a rather small leap to take. But no one's really the rational thinker in that series. Oh and I so do not agree regarding the Gantz parallel drawn. They're not alike at all other than both series having a 'horror' element and contains stupid and irrational characters. Writers aren't just going to give you the entire plot right away, the story is developing and we're getting answers as it progresses like any good story. Also, your plot holes/inconsistency and irrationality examples don't really work. + Show Spoiler + The titans motives are supposed to be a plot device and the basement was supposed to give some light on the situation, there obviously is a greater purpose to the titan plan. Also, the two titans in the last chapter discussed how they were going to destroy all the humans within the wall but reconsidered because they want Eren to come with them and some other reason they didn't go into (yet). You seem to think every character has your view of the story and world, they don't, you`re a reader and they are supposed to be characters depicting people in that world with a limited amount of knowledge. No one in that situation is going to assume everyone in a normal village was turned into titans since there were numerous other possibilities and it sounds totally crazy plus it'd create a lot of panic/fear (most people don't choose the scariest option first). Additionally, they didn't find out until this chapter that there was no hole in the wall and there was the possibility the titans dug under the wall. The characters in my opinion have done a great job using the information they have to further their goals, they put two and two together with these latest two titans and the plan to use Eren as bait earlier was well deduced.

I'm starting to dislike the whole "Everyone is a Titan" There are just to many damn mysteries in this manga for me to like. Why are there now intelligent Titans? If people could turn into titans why not just annihilate the entire human population from within? Its obvious there are several classes of titans. Theres the dumb pawns and then there are higher ranks with intelligence. Now that we know that the hairy ass titan can speak why has he never shown himself until wall Rose has fallen? And lastly HOW DOES NO ONE NOTICE GIANT ASS TITANS WHEN THEY ARE BUILDING THE WALLS? Since its a monthly and looking at the rate of how this manga is coming out i dont see it ever finishing it up before at least another two years lol.

Either they don't want to, they are incompetent (unlikely seeing as how easy it has been for them so far) or they have other plans (this is my guess). No one alive at the moment built the walls. We don't know how the wall was built. They theorize the walls was made using the titan's hardening ability. We don't know. Historia and the secret family of knowers are the ones within the walls that's most likely to know, and they're not telling (bar Historia due to her unique circumstances).

Could be that they imprison the shapeshifter inside the wall, then activate their transformation after the wall is completed. I was also wondering if there might be more than 3 walls.

Also im assuming the reason why Eren became a human titan was because of the injection given by his father. In that case, has he given the injection to the other human titans as well. Then that would mean he's been behind all the human titan attacks?

Does another civilization exist outside the walls and is that where those human titans came from. And why was the girl titan trying to take Eren away. Gonna take so long for these questions to be answered ... sigh, I'm thinking of not reading any more and coming back to this 2 years from now.

I mean, it's amazing, but it still moves really slow. At this rate, I might be better off forgetting about this manga for a year or two before coming back and getting my fill of the (thus far pretty awesome) plot. Uh?, the plot is unfolding super fast. Too fast for my taste actually. It seems you've never read Berserk, amazing story but 20+ years since it's started there's still no end in sight.

Semantics, but okay, your random musings don't work either. Complain about the plot and story all you like, but at least write "random musings" that make sense and aren't you just demonstrating poor reading comprehension.

I wouldn't really hold up Berserk as the ideal standard of plot progression lol.. it was amazing until the end of the Golden Age Arc but after that it's taken ages for anything significant to happen. I can see some parts of this manga developing too quickly but with regards to the latest chapter we basically waited a month for a + Show Spoiler + pretty bad fight scene
