Would like to thank the OP for introducing this, I haven't read a new manga or seen a new anime in years, but I gave this one a chance and it's turning out well so far, just finished the second book. I think it will have a lot of potential in anime form as well.

While some might not like the twists in this manga, if you go back and read through it again, ALL those twists are foreshadowed clearly. I cannot wait for the next chapter.

Pros: good storytelling (smooth, not boring, twists, obviously thought through), good characters (background etc)
Cons: to me the universe is little boring (titans and soldiers on ropes

). Claymore is for example better in this with, all soldiers with distinctively different abilities, different enemies with different skills, from small to the abyssal ones. Fights aren't very fun too.

Btw Misaka is cool and looks like Misaka from NHK

I read it, it´s a good manga with an intriguing story and world. At first I didn´t care for the drawing style but I´ve gotten used to it, and it IS really fitting for showing defenceless humans being torn apart by inhuman monstrocities...

Well, so far it's been good I'd say, but I feel like we're still way too much in the dark to the whole plot in general to be seeing fights as much as this...

So yeah... guess I'll just agree with the maybe a bit rushed part ?

Great manga otherwise, nice change of pace.

Glad you guys like the manga. One of the things I enjoy the most is the titan fights where you basically have them punching so hard it breaks apart their hands on impact. Great drawing style.

Hmmm, well, if everyone could turn into Titans, then humans could win the war. Human Titans are superior to dumb Titans in every respect except sometimes size and strength, so they wouldn´t even need that high numbers of tame Titans fighting.

I've been reading and yeah it's fucking fantastic. It's like claymore and gantz where the atmosphere is one of hopelessness (instead of easy powerups), people actually die tragically, violently, and painfully without having a big sentimental scene for them, and the plot seems to be solid.

Definitely sort of depressing though >< but yeah, the storyline and the art and the background are all just superb.

Interesting story, but just lacking a wow factor for me. It's a solid manga, but nothing is exceptional. Vinland Saga has excellent character development and narrative, Claymore has excellent character abilities, Berserk has pure adrenaline moments, etc.
