I get the impression from the trailers that the lightsaber fights wont be so flashy, jumpy and over the top as they were in prequels. Hopefully I am right as I hated the fights in the prequels. | ||

What? I don't know if he dies dude. I didn't read that post. Someone has said before in this thread that he would hate it if they do something like killing Han Solo just for the sake of it and I was commentating in similar fashion. So yeah, I have no idea if he dies man, I didn't want to spoil myself either. | ||

Of course they can "develop" everything in SW world, but looking a Storm Trooper going even with this new Jedi is like.., well every SW chapter the new Jedis are older, maybe in chapter X they are going to train someone who is 40. | ||

I am sure the weapon has several uses beyond just blocking a lightsaber. Across an entire galaxy there are likely a couple more groups that use tech similar to the cutting power lightsaber, though maybe not designed the same way or used by force users. Plus the Empire has this guy who uses a lightsaber and they clearly trained him somehow. It’s not this crazy idea that they would build some weapons that could stand up to a lightsaber. And they also had leader, the Emperor and Vader(who they clearly are not aware turned against the Emperor) killed by a Jedi. So maybe a couple people were like “Man, we can’t expect our troops to shoot these guys, they just block the shots with the lightsaber. Maybe we should make a weapon for some of our elite troopers to deal one?” We, the audience, are aware there is only one Jedi left. The Empire is not. | ||

General: From reports they are immune to small arms fire, can deflect explosives with some form of telekinesis, have limited mind control, mind reading, increased mobility and wield a melee weapon known as a Light Saber that can cut through any armor have. There are also rumors they have a limited ability to see the future and can communicate between systems, though those might not be accurate. Empire R&D department: Ok, so just one of these guys sounds like a real fucking problem. General: Yeah, can you drop whatever you are doing and get on that like right now. | ||
