That was tongue in cheek, seriously how could someone watch Spartacus and not grasp that the grammar is intended. Also there's no need to be a smartass, no shit the Romans spoke Latin. Gladiator and Rome both felt more authentic than Spartacus just with standard english + some ancient vocab thrown in. There's a reason most period dramas/movies use pretty standard english and not the original language. The excessive use of accent (imagine a Star Wars where everyone spoke like Yoda) in dialogue is pretty frowned upon in writing as it distracts from what is being said. It's not like Spartacus is all about authenticity anyway, the language is more a stylistic gimmick than anything else. | ||

Complaining about nu-spartacus will not bring back Andy either. Spartacus also plainly plays less of a role in this season than in s1. Even using a crude rubric like lines of dialog, I wouldn't be surprised if Glaber, Illythia, or even Lucretia are as much main characters as Spartacus. | ||
