AvP <- LOLbad AvP2 <- Didn't watch and never will Predators <- Didn't watch and never w Predators is about 100x better than AvP2, just wanted to throw that out there. Its mostly a statement about how FUCKING HORRID AvP2 is tho. | ||

Predators was... okay, as Jinro said, it's mostly due to the fact that the AvP set the bar so low, that is was impossible not to do better, kinda like how Alien 3 all the sudden wasn't that bad when Aliens Resurection (LOLOLOLOL) came out. And hell, how can ANYTHING not be underwhelming when you have to follow, not only Alien, the best sci-fi horror, but also the best sequel(with Terminator 2, also by Cameron) and best action-sci-fi movie Regardless, i will watch it, but i won't get hyped for it, even Ridley Scott have turned out alot of mediocre/shit the last decades | ||

Regarding Prometheus: With the current state of hollywood I don't have very high expectations, which will either make this bearable to watch or super awesome. Last time I did a Alien Marathon it was quite clear the franchise was doing worse with every movie. Oh, and on the subject of Predators, which was aweful, it does somehow have a higher critic metascore (as can be found on IMBD) than Predator. That is probably the most surprising thing I've read this year | ||

I can't even remember AvP2, even though I did watch the movie. That's because your mind is trying to remember an action movie with aliens in it, while AvP2 spent the first 1 hour pretending it was Bevery Hills crossed with Smallville. | ||

2012 is loaded potential. Dark Knight Rises, Avengers, Prometheus, Skyfall, Amazing Spider-Man, The Hobbit, The Bourne Legacy, Lincoln, The Hunger Games, The Great Gatsby, and Django Unchained are all must-see for me. | ||

AvP 2 was still somewhat good, not saying it was perfect. But i definitely liked it. The cross over in the beginning was, or most of it, was to give context so you see everything was well, until aliens start rampaging and killing everybody. Otherwise it would be just an action movie. | ||

The alien ship matches the general description of the Space Jockey 'derelict' the Nostromo found in Alien. The skull they're examining looks like a Space Jockey skull. (Space Jockeys don't have trunks outside of the Dark Horse comics; the "trunk" is a breathing tube apparatus in canon.) Looks like a facehugger of some kind being pulled out of a tube. All those urns in the big room with the huge face archway, look kind of like a good place for some alien eggs. Finally, freeze-frame through at the end from 1:03 - 1:05 and the distorted image looks like the shape of an alien head. Ridley Scott keeps saying there won't be aliens, people who've been on the set say there are people in alien costumes on set, and they aren't fans cosplaying. | ||

I've loved the Aliens since they scared the living hell out of me as a child, and I HATED the way AvP2 treated them. Fucking terrible. Been waiting for a true Alien film for ages. Absolutely cannot wait for this. | ||
