All this talk about ratings got me a bit worried (not really familiar with USA rating system and its intricacies) but hopefully this prequel will be an actual science-fiction horrror movie, and not a teen bullshit movie aka starship troopers. I have faith though, Scott is the man.

I'm sure I'll watch this and I'm sure it'll be godawful like everything else that is a copy or "remake" of an earlier movie. On November 28 2011 03:30 chocopaw wrote: "Ridley Scott reported that he is shooting both PG-13 and R-rated cuts of the film to be submitted to Fox for review when the film is finalized." http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplaylist/ridley_scott_is_shooting_for_both_an_r-rated_pg-13_cut_of_prometheus I don't know, I have a bad feeling when reading this. :/ But Stringer motherfuckin' Bell is the captain of the ship, woohoo. :D Anyone still anticipating this I either dislike or pity :< It's not even a case of my worst fears confirmed. It's a case of I knew it was going to be trash and it will be. I'm sorry but this has literally zero chance of being remembered in 10 years, let alone qualifying for any definition of good. Except good riddance.

Although I guess if they make it so that the PG13 version has lost nothing at all and the R version is just extra gore then it becomes retarded =[

So you will have to wait a year (?) for the R-rated cut, and watch it at home. Without 3D, you know, the way the movie was ment to be seen.... ![]() Other than that it looks promising so far. Good actors, good people involved overall. It's gonna be decent at least, i think.

If Ridley Scott is helming this one, though, I might have to get decently excited.

This is one of those franchises that I will always see at some point, even if it has been butchered in the past two incarnations.
