You all know me; I like to make an entrance, get up on a podium, and make some speech or other and talk about how crazy awesome you all are. So, consider this my page 300 soapbox.
Because yeah, we just broke 300 pages in what is unquestionably my favorite thread on TeamLiquid, ever. And such an easy favorite it is.
We have had 299 pages of complete, unbridled enthusiasm and joy. 299 pages of colorful ponies, awesome stories, wonderful music, in depth character discussion, episode livestreaming, a sick pony marathon, and a fuckton of camaraderie. 299 pages of wildly different personalities and beliefs coming together under the banner of friendship and tolerance. 299 pages of nothing but passion for a fun little cartoon that has genuinely brightened the lives of every single person here to one degree or another.
This show and its fandom has given me so much, more than I have time to put down in words right now. I have a new-found sense of direction and purpose; I know what I want to do with my life. I laugh more than I used to, I get excited about stuff more than I used to. God damn it, when I started watching this show, I was not expecting to spend every single Saturday in wild anticipation of the next episode with two dozen people doing exactly the same thing in the same place at the same time.
Goddamn this place is awesome.
Just... thank you. All of you. For simply being genuinely happy to see me in the morning.
My 300-page celebration will include a good pizza, reliving epic PMVs from the fandom, and watching DreamHack Winter 2011 come to its epic conclusion. I hope that you will join me in celebrating this minor, insignificant milestone by posting your absolute favorite pieces of fan art and videos, and I hope - I sincerely hope - that you will all join me for the next 300 pages of complete, unbridled enthusiasm and joy.
