Serious question: I was thinking of hosting another game of MLP:FIM mafia, but the TL Mafia sub forum is having issues with low numbers of players per game hosted, which means that if I hosted using the regular cue system it would take 3+ months for the game to happen. If however I could fill it with people who are not regulars of the TL Mafia subforum then I could host it much sooner. How many people here would play in a MLP Mafia game if I hosted one? No experience required, but if there are say 10-12 people who want to play I can run a game for you guys (and who knows, maybe you'll find you enjoy forum mafia enough to stick around and play in other, non-pony themed games!)
EDIT: If you would be interested in playing AND able to play, shoot me a PM.
I might be down but i haven't played a mafia before.what kind of time commitments are there? i have been super busy lately :s
At least 30min-1 hour a day to keep up, more if you want to be really active, if you are busy I advise against it
dang i guess ill pass then maybe ill play a mafia one day, they sound like fun!
I love the game of Mafia, and wouldn't mind playing the SC2 version, simply for the sake of speed and hilarious rushed banter. But doing anything hugely interactive on a forum just seems really awkward, especially when 1 person ruins everything by having a life.

Then after the third of fourth episode I found myself starting to chuckle at it every now and again. Then after the sixth episode I had a big stupid grin across my face while I was watching the episode.
I honestly think this show has made me a happier person. I typically don’t think of myself as that happy of a person. Honestly I’m actually a glass half empty kind of guy. I don’t really appreciate the things in my life and I really don’t like the people I’m around. I actually kind of hate them. I do however think that this show has help me become a better human overall and I really wanted to express my gratitude to this thread for showing me to a show that has shown me some of the happiness in this world. Thanks guys.
Nice that you gave it a try anyway! You have a ton of good episodes left - I personally think they get better and better, especially season 2 is great! It takes some episodes to get in, but once you got over the fact that it's actually My little Pony you are watching, it becomes the best mood enhancer ever.

I suggest you check out the tl mafia subforum its hardly awkward, I assure you.
Either way, back on topic, Ponies! Have some Starswirl the Bearded, inventor of the Amniomorphic spell!

is forum mafia like the sc2 mod of mafia
Nooooooooo, the *concept* is the same, the gameplay is a lot less stupid. ^_^
Again, just check out the subforum and get an idea of what its like, it seems like not enough people are interested anyway, so its going to be a while before pony mafia happens (unless 6-7 people decide they want to play soonish)
I totally missed live MLP by a day when it came to town (i got back from vacation 1 day after) i was so sad apparently its not very good anyways but i would have still liked to go see it.
I watched bits and pieces of episode 7. I didn't particularly find it interesting. There are plenty of shows with heavy character development, but I guess if you like the style of power puff girls this would appeal to you.

Thanks for trying it! I guess it can't please everybody, but perhaps you need to give it another shot if you ever have a bad day And just so you know, I didn't particularly enjoy it after watching episode 7 either, it's after watching quite a few episodes and seeing how much fan content there is for the show that I really fell in love with the series.
According to the last EqD Nightly Roundup, someone's finally gotten around to making an SC2 mod to add ponies as a race. Yay!
Unfortunately they don't have a 3D modeler... so all that's really been added is a fourth race that isn't even close to balanced yet. Really all that's pony-related at this point is just text: unit and spell names, basically. No idea whether it uses new attacks or game mechanics or it's just a mishmesh of the existing units and spells. But I'd still be pretty happy if they can release a sufficiently playable map with pony models. Or even just the models. Although building, animating and testing a full race of 3D units and buildings in HD is a job that takes months for a team, never mind only one person.
Would be nice if there was a way to import the stuff from here as a base (with permission), but I've never even opened up the art assets part of the editor.

Welcome to the Herd, I love reading stories like this kudos to you for going beyond the initial stigma <3
Thanks for the vid GaryOak gave me some nerd chills, and that news about JJ might be drawing a Day[9] has already made my morning substantially that guy is way talented.
Glad you liked the video. <3
Don't get too excited about the whole JJ thing; who knows how long it'll be before he draws a pony Day[9], though he's a confirmed fan and respects him a lot, so it's at least in the back of his mind.

Next episode is the episode with the best singer voices in the show. We probably will get some music then.
It has Sweetie Belle in it, it *better* have a song. Hell I wouldn't mind another Rarity solo, since Art of the Dress is one of my favorite songs anyway ^_^
Also, waiting is hard, I may have to marathon all of S1 to make the wait more bearable.
I know they've got some songs cooked up somewhere, so maybe we'll finally see one!

For example I have watched (and will continue to do so) every single episode, see enough memes between the forums I'm on etc (these all have huge pony threads ), but I don't really touch the extra stuff like fanfics and whatnot. Usually because fanfics are awful no matter what they're about. Basically if it hasn't been in the show, I probably won't know about it. Does that make me fake?
Simply being a fan of the show in any capacity that's outside of its original intended demographic. The only "fake" bronies are those that claim to be bronies but aren't fans of the show.
