Personally, my first and most favorite drama so far has been Reply 1997 (got into it because of that Eunji). Dream High was eh for me. Didn't like it that much and never bothered with the second one since I heard it was bad. Didn't Big get bad reviews as well?

Reply 1997 is definitely top 3 of my favorite dramas of all time, and I've seen quite a few. I enjoyed Dream High a lot but my expectations were really low and I was pleasantly surprised. Coffee Prince, Soulmates, Bottom of the 9th with 2 outs and Joseon X-Files are some of my other favorite dramas.

What kind of dramas are the rest? Also, any other romantic comedies you would recommend sort of like Reply 1997 or City Hunter?

If you're not watching I Hear Your Voice right now then you are doing something wrong. The romance isn't as strong as in other dramas but it's there. It's definitely hilarious as well as emotional though. Best drama of the year probably, hard to see anything topping this. Rooftop Prince is probably the best romantic comedy in my book, followed closely by A Gentleman's Dignity and Coffee House.

Well, City Hunter is somewhat of a cross between that and action. It's not entirely both, but I definitely the lighthearted parts of the show. I once asked for an action drama, and others said if I liked City Hunter I'd probably like romantic comedies more.

I'm studying Korean at the moment, and while I actually live in the country, I don't have a television. I'd love to watch some Korean shows (sit coms would be preferred to dramas though) to help improve my language skills. It would also be nice if I had KOREAN subtitles. I've had a lot of trouble finding torrents so far though. Often, when I DO find a torrent, there are so many episodes for the show (High Kick...) that no one is seeding the individual episodes. Any suggestions? Where do you guys go to find shows?

I'm almost tempted to call it a good show. It has a lot of redeeming qualities -- + Show Spoiler + and my heart constantly bleeds for Joon-Hee And okay, I understand that dramas really love to have a grating, noisy girl, but you have to give them a few redeeming, admirable qualities at least. I see one redeeming quality so far for the main girl, and one for her mother, but zero for all the rest. Update from Episode 9: + Show Spoiler + This show is almost ruined by the main girl. I'm completely baffled by how many guys like her, considering how she acts like a spoiled middle school brat 95% of the time. I can just barely excuse Yoon-Jae for liking her (hormones and all), but Yoon-Jae's brother? At this point I feel like I'm just watching for Joon-Hee and the puppy. Lol, I feel like I'm missing the point, but what breed are the puppies in Episode 9? They are so adorable.

+ Show Spoiler + Shi-won as a teenager is annoying, vapid, and idiotic. In fact, every teenage girl in this drama is annoying, vapid, and idiotic with almost no redeeming qualities. ("Pretty" and "cute" do not really count as redeeming qualities in my book. Also, I find it irritating that they sit around trying imply that Shi-won is "not pretty" when, objectively speaking, she is.) I gradually warmed up to teenage Yoo-jung as the show continued, but overall, the teenage girls seem to be victims of bad and lazy writing. They're better when they grow up though. At first I thought Shi-won had not matured much, but after watching the second half of the series, I'll withdraw my earlier statement and say that, even though I still don't quite like her, at least I can tolerate her. The guys on the whole are decently written, though most of them are static characters, and Yoon-jae is an idiot. This whole drama felt rather static to me, mostly because everyone is circling around the same relationships, but that's a first-love story for you. I did like that all the guys each got some Shining Character Moments (even Sung-jae!), unlike most of the female characters. Onto relationships: - Tae-woong creeped me out at times. + Show Spoiler + I'm okay with large age gaps in relationships but not a teacher-student relationship. Also the fact that his chemistry with Shi-won was basically that of fond dad spoiling his favorite daughter made it really squicky. I'm glad he ended up with sexy doctor lady at the end; they flat-out have better chemistry. - Yoo-jung + Show Spoiler + and Hak-chan - I still don't get what anyone sees in Shi-won, and so all of the love storylines involving her are incomprehensible to me. I get it that she's pretty, but she's also really damn annoying ... - Oh, Joon-hee. ![]() Why must the one character with any sense in this show be the one who gets hurt the most in the end? My heart bleeds for him. He didn't even get the damn puppy. Overall, happy I watched the show. 7/10.
