It has already been confirmed no Lady Stoneheart in tv-series.

Oh, wow. I saw all four episodes when they were leaked, so no preview at the time, and I have to admit I never thought they would actually go ahead and kill Barristan. That is very disappointing. He hasn't had that much of an impact, and he still had a role to play when Daenerys disappears on Drogon's back.
I'm not sure what they were thinking. That means Hizdahr is going to rule in her stead when she's gone, and that changes a lot of things. I mean, he was the one ruling anyway, but at least Barristan was there to oppose him. If I remember right, he even busts him and arrests him.
Assuming that the ambushers were indeed would-be pit fighters, it isn't unreasonable that they'd have an advantage fighting in close quarters without armor, compared to the unsullied or western knights. The unsullied really have no business trying to operate as a policing force, it's another example of Dany's mismanagement.
In books Loras Tyrell was heavily injured in DragonStone, but he is imprisoned in tv-series. These changes make my head explode and I am losing tracks of everything. I might have to reread DoD before starting WoW.

I read somewhere that she's been cut though (sorry don't have source handy.)
Now that the 4th episode has aired I can finally dare to peek in here without getting spoiled. Huzzah!
And damn, not Barristan. Now I know how all these poor guys felt who didn't read the books. With all these massive changes I have no idea what is going to happen anymore. Which I do like quite a lot.

I will only believe that when the last episode of the show has aired without her appearing in it.
watching the episodes so far I really feel it went all downhill since they deviated major plot points from the books... guess it's time to just treat it as a spin-off

I think it's a bit quick to say that. They have had some truly terrible off-books scenes yes (hello shirtless Ramsay fighting), but I think the series is still good and well above most other shows. At least it belongs in the top.
I am somewhat worried about next season though, or even the end of this one. Soon, and if GRRM does not release TWOW this year, they'll have to truly invent content based on what he has told them. I'm not sure I trust their ability to come up with solid plot lines.

Was it? I don't recall thinking that at all. I did read the books pretty quick so I may have missed it. Just wouldn't make sense, what does he gain by having Jon die? The other members of the nights watch aren't going to join him. If somehow they would than why would stannis leave before it's carried out? There is no gain for Stannis if he was behind it.
No clue where he's getting tham from. Nowhere in the book is it implied that Stannis had Jon killed. Jon was stabbed by Bowen Marsh and the other stewards because he intended to take men of the Watch and wildings south of the Wall to kill the Boltons and retake Winterfell, all in response to the Pink Letter.
Yeah I remember it being in response to a letter and the betrayal coming from nights watch members.

Time will tell.
Time will tell? If you look at any storyline they ever created, you already see the trend I am really diappointed by this season tbh, a lot of silly changes (most of them without being coherent with characters and/or general logic) It's still "good" cause HBO is awesome, but the quality isn't really that amazing anymore tbh
I like most of the changes. Jaime to Dorne seems quite fine so far, and it just makes sense for a TV show. I like that Cersei is arming the Sparrows, considering the knowledge that it will be her downfall. I like that she's had Loras imprisoned by the Sparrows. I like Sansa in Winterfell (though I'm not looking forward to any scene involving Sansa and Ramsay). And, most of all, I like not knowing exactly what will happen next.
Seriously, a lot of these changes are superior to the book versions in the context of a TV show. You simply cannot have as many characters, and you simply have to simplify plots for them to work out properly and not be confusing as fuck.
If you still watch the show and compare every scene with what happened in the books, you're gonna have a bad time.

I agree. Overall, the show remains quite excellent. Those who expect an adaptation of the books line for line are in for a disappointment. Although I still don't understand the writers' apparently burning wish to exclude some seriously kick-ass one-liners that would fit just fine in the TV show ("Only Cat" and "Edd, fetch me a block"), they have to change the material. Could you imagine AFFC on TV? It would not render well. At all. Even ADWD.
I personally liked those books, but they contained a lot of world building and other rather static elements involving delving into a POV character's mind.
We'll see how good the show holds up by the end of the season, and it should give us a good idea of how well they can handle themselves without source material.
I don't even compare it to the books, i just compare it with the show itself. These 4 episodes were imo pretty mediocre.
Jaime and Bronn in Dorne is completely bonkers, Jaime himself said he most probably will be a hindrance for the "plan", it's almost a suicide mission at this point (but hey, a funny bromance is good enough) Sansa in Winterfell makes no sense either imo, why should he give away Sansa like that? Dorne so far is "b movie villains in the desert" if you look at Ellaria and the Sand Snakes, Doran could be good but he doesn't get any real scenes -.- (i am sure he will get some more, hopefully there is "Vengeance. Justice. Fire and blood" or i will be super pissed) And how do they kill off Barristan? The unsullied lose vs some nobles in the most silly way possible, only grey worm seems to be able to fight i guess. If i were Dany i would be pissed that i got these soldiers
I don't see how all these changes make good TV, they simply don't if you ask me. The only scene i really enjoyed so far was with Stannis and his daugther, awesome moment.

Jaime freed Tyrion, who subsequently killed their father. This is Jaime's way of making amends, both with himself and with his sister. Not to mention that Myrcella really is in danger, and he wants to save his daughter himself.

Littlefinger literally answered that very question in the last episode.

We've already learned that the show's writers don't care too much about getting every single cool quote from the books, so you're gonna get to look forward to being super pissed, I guess. I'm pretty meh on the Sand Snakes so far, but they were just introduced this episode, so there's no telling if they're gonna be awesome or not. Honestly, I was pretty meh about them in the books, too. So far, Dorne in the show is about a million times more interesting than Dorne in the books ever was.

Yeah. 2 guys losing against 20 sure is unrealistic. In the books, they'd have killed 50 at least!

He should do his job and protect Tommen then, even more so considering he himself said the enemies are everyhwere now that Tywin is dead. A two man mission with Bronn when he can't really fight makes no sense. It's a silly "bromance" arc, just like Hound/Arya

And you thought that was a good answer? ok i guess

Yeah i think they will botch that speech too. The Sand Snakes are B movie villains, the whole scene was right out of an 80's action movie. I understand that they want the information, but everything else (including killing him) was absolutely awful. The bolded part is completely ridiculous

Maybe you should watch the fighting scene again, i count more than 2 guys
