There''s no news, but that doesn't mean they necessarily cut her. Could be they already had a specific actress in mind for the role, so they didn't need to put out a casting call for Arianne.
Hm yeah maybe, was this the case with any recent new roles though?

i think it s out of realm of possbility to cut Arianne. She s ain important char in the plot she s a POV character She can be used as eye-candy and porn stuff Minor dornish characters are cast, so how could they leave out the main one.
I agree that D&D probably had s1 in mind from the get go, that s why there s no need for further auditions.
Abouth LSH, Good riddance, the only thing i liked about the RW is that we got rid of Cat.., and they bring her back. And i agree that it s kinda cheesy to have an undead lady stark running around. It's not even that it's too much magic (though it is), i really wish GRRM would have found another way of making the Freys pay, and keep Brienne and the BWB relevant
This one is all about Dorne and how they plan to take the Iron Throne from them self. It involves Oberyn, Robert Strong, Old Town, Dragons, rival houses, Lanisters and so on. Fun stuff

Assuming that they're not willing to completely abandon the story lines of the book I guess LSH wouldn't have played such an important role anyway. I like that they're trying to tell the story a little more straight-forward.
Even every die-hard GoT fan must admit that book four and five really were a bit tedious at some point and that it felt like GRRM lost the thread a bit.
i think the problem was the division of the books
Only Jon's story line was complex and interesting enough to stand on its own for 10+ chapters a book. Tyrion's chapters always the best in the first 3 books, but now his storyline is "less cool" since instead of him being a badass, he has to deal with repeated humiliation and there s a heavier accent on him being a dawrf, rather than him being in a complicated relationship with his family And there are twice as many chapters of him, so it kinda gets boring at times, but still pretty good. Same applies to Danny *10. I hated brienne, cuz whatever, personal preferance But i loved Jaime, Reek, Arya and the entire Dornish bunch kinda neutral about the ironborn, and i really think it was a mistake to make Cersei a PoV, she became much more boring and one dimensional once we heard her inner thoughts
But most of these problems i had wouldnt have arisen if not for this division :/
Wow, the Oberyn-Brave companion connection makes a ton of sense
Some of the theory later on is bullshit, namely Mira Maz Duhr, and Quentyn is alive.
But we do know for sure there are at least 2 parties who want the targs to succseed yet have contrary interests, though it s really really hard to get my head around who's with whom. Varys, Illirio, Doran, the Yronwoods etc
EW: You couldn’t have missed the online furor over the lack of Lady Stoneheart in the Thrones finale. Were you surprised by that attention?
Michelle Fairley: I actually haven’t seen any of that. I don’t look that stuff up. I avoid it like the plague. I was totally unaware.
EW: There was a lot of online conversation. I heard third-hand that you were basically told that it’s not likely to ever happen. Is that accurate?
Michelle Fairley: Yeah, the character’s dead. She’s dead.
EW: Do you have a preference at all—do you think Catelyn’s arc should end where it ended, or would you be into the resurrection idea?
Michelle Fairley: You respect the writers’ decision. I knew the arc, and that was it. They can’t stick to the books 100 percent. It’s impossible—they only have 10 hours per season. They have got to keep it dramatic and exciting, and extraneous stuff along the way gets lost in order to maintain the quality of brilliant show.
the asoiaf subreddit is really focusing on her "she's dead" comment, because well, LSH is literally dead...
my hopes are dashed and im so sad and disappointed if they dont include her TT
Yeah I saw those comments too, but honestly it feels like they are grasping for straws.. I mean, do you really think she would phrase herself so elaboratly just in order to fool book-readers? When have they ever done something like that before?
The thing that convinces me the most that they've cut her is the fact that they are so far into the story now that it would just be weird if they introduced her next season I think. And if they were gonna include her, the last scene of the season would have been literally the best possible time to do the whole dramatic reveal thing..
It's weird, I'm sure I'm alone here but honestly I would prefer a fucking Talisa Stoneheart like some guys over on the subreddit were joking about before over no Stoneheart at all. Such a let down not to have her at all..
The only thing that gives a bit of hope is that the showrunners themselves have made no comments about it yet. You'd think with a horde of angry book-readers they might say something like "hey sorry guys, but don't get your hopes up because we cut LSH" or something..

Honestly, I expect them to have some sort of "shadow LSH" that can be done through CG to take LSH's place, maybe along the lines of the shadow servant thing that Melisandre birthed. They seemed to not want to bring Fairley back for a non-speaking role, so a shadow-thing that resembles her and has her shape would make sense.
Edit: Another possibility of course is that a double stands in for Fairley, and we never get a clear view of her face. I just have a feeling that 'LSH' will eventually be in the show in some form, but Michelle Fairley won't be returning.

Wow as a book reader who loves the show and haven't been too bothered by any of the changes I'm going to be pissed if lady stone heart is cut. Indefensible change if true.

You can't call it indefensible without reading the next 2 books She hasn't done anything noteworthy yet.

Just saw that first part of the theory. We'll have to see how Robert Strong fares but very compelling actually.
Ugh, that 2nd video onward is a bit too outlandish for me.
yep, 1st part is pretty much spot on (even if it turns out not to be true, it's really sound), from there on it's a bit crazy. Similar on the Pink letter videos, he explains it why Mance had to be the one who wrote it, then he kinda goes off

For refererence
Haha yeah, he always start of "safe" and then goes all tinfoil hat. Then again, maybe it's because he wants his theories to have a little more meat than "Oberyn knew the Brave Compagnions" or "Mance wrote it, the end" so he goes all Tinfoil hat. + It's kinda the charm of fan theories when they are pretty "out there" I will defintely keep and eye for new videos from him
Man, the other thread again.. now people blatantly "remember" things straight from the books that never actually happened in the show to point out how they figured out that it was Joffrey who tried to have Bran killed.

It's funny cuz it s not true in the show, lol
and another guy "Seems pretty clear that Joffrey is the one who sent the assassin, ..."
Even that first one is crazy, but at least it is touches on a couple solid ideas. I name this series Oberyn Martell: grand master suicide xanatos roulette.
It is hard to say what the high point is, maybe the engineering of the deal between Tyrion and the second sons?
