I actually think the more magic they cut out of the show the better, I already felt the skeleton/fireball scene and also Melisandre's shadow-thingy felt extremely out of place. I initially thought this, but I think its meant to make a very key point: Thus far in the series, the Red God has powers (Dondarion, mellisandre etc), the Old Gods have powers (Bran, White Walkers, Wargs), but the New Gods never did anything. But when the Freys violated the hospitality rule after the whole bread and salt thing (which is one of their most significant laws), I interpreted her being reanimated like that as a form of the power of the New Gods.

Maybe not exactly the same, since Beric traded his life for hers, but still pretty much clearly attributed to the Red God.

Why Song of Fire and Ice? Why did you pick such a big concept? http://www.sfsite.com/01a/gm95.htmI felt like doing something big. I've been working in TV for 10 years. Television movies are very restrictive; for a one hour show, you only have 46 minutes. You are always cutting, cutting, cutting. Movies are somewhat bigger, two hours... 100 minutes. I wanted to do something more expansive, something epic without having to worry about how big it was going to be. Where I could have characters without economizing on plot and where I could have a cast of thousands. I wouldn't have to worry about budget. It was almost a reaction to my 10 years in TV. also, old internet looks hideous

Bellas got some enemies! Looking forward to his Tower of Joy video very cool video, utter bullshit though. If you re-read the first Danny chapter from ADWD, it flat out contradicts half of his arguments. he uses it as arguments, that no freedman has been murdered, but first an unsullied, and then some other murders follow, and there s no Harpy drown at the kill-sites. Both of which are obviously wrong, if you read the text. And he makes Hizdahr out to be an innocent, remeber this couple of things: 1. It's stated form the very start the Hizdahr has many friends in the slaver cities, respective Volantis and Quarth 2. After hizdahr visits the Pyramids the killings stop 3. The attackers free his relatives, who were sent as hostages 4. With Danny's death he s the sole ruler of the city, and could easily negotiate with the besiegers a quick agreement. 5. When Barristan confronts him, he acts suspiciously. Ok, maybe the Green Grace is actually the one pullnig the strings, but Hizdahr is no innocent lamb, caught up in power play Though the poisoning itself might be as he says, although i like the Shavepate for it more, framing Hizdahr (who in turn might have thought to get rid of her eventually, but maybe not responsible for this one. Maybe...)

She has weaker powers than Thoros and uses tricks all the time. Her Shadow is more blood magic than what Thoros does. She is obsessed with waking a Dragon and might wake an Ice one now or something and I don't see how an Ice one will be a "good" guy. Also old Maester at the wall warned Jon to fear the Fire, not Ice. And now Melissandre is there and she represents fire. Maybe the Other One maneuvered Melissandre to the Wall so she can bring it down thinking she is doing something useful. We know the Wall needs to go down or there is no WW invasion. Also she saw Bran in the fire and said she saw the face of the enemy. But Bran is with Bloodraven and Children work for Bloodraven and Children are ancient enemies of WW. In that logic Bran is her enemy if she is working for The Other One.

But Bran is with Bloodraven and Children work for Bloodraven and Children are ancient enemies of WW. In that logic Bran is her enemy if she is working for The Other One. that s really really tinfoil... 1. Thoros didndt have any power until he noticed that the reviving ritual worked, and it did 6 more times, much of Mel's magic is just act, but every single one of her visions was true, though she misreads them all with a few minor excpetions, and let s not forget the shadow baby, "killing" the 3 kings, the trick with Mance etc 2. Sure she uses blood magic, but i wouldnt say it s most of her spells, in fact the only real blood magic is the killing of the kings, and that can be explained that she saw a vision, knew it's gonna happen, and sold it as her doing, or something along those lines 3. Mel is dangerous, she doesnt need to work for the WW to be so, Aemon fears her, and rightly so. 4. Waking a dragon, idk, many theories are around, cant say anything definitive on the matter 5. I think her seeing Bran and co and thinking that it is the face of the enemy can be chalked up to her misreadings, she saw blood red eyes, far away north, so yeah... those kinda point towards the Other 6. Breaking down the wall, maybe it will happen, maybe Mel's gonna be a part in it, but i really dont think she consciously or unconsciously is working for the Others, im pretty sure she is a priestess of Rhallor, with a lot of power, and a lot of mistakes
