AWESOME. Duel. Pretty sweet, but this is the point in the series where it really starts to feel like GRRM starts killing characters more for shock value and less for actual story purpose.

Yeah, wich is why it really would have paid off to do Stannis right from the get-go, but the show runners were obviously too short-sighted. Wich is understandable when you produce a television show one season at a time and have to actually earn a continuation in order to get to the late-game in the first place.

I cant think of much to look forward to once Tyrion leaves kings landing. I don't know, I have some faith the show will be fine next season. I mean, they certainly aren't afraid of taking some liberties, which in a lot of cases I haven't agreed with...but for the coming episodes, it could be a good thing.

The duel was well enough executed given the budget and all but the rest... hmm... not so much.

King's Landing doesn't disappear either, there's still Cersei getting what's coming to her. I think the show is fine. They have PLENTY of material for Season 5 to work with. Oh i forgot. There's still Braavos and Arya. Yea there's a TON of stuff for them to work with.

I though the duel was amazing, it was literally line for line from the book. It wasn't very long, but that scene didn't last a long time in the book either. It was perfect. What is there to complain about?

That head crunch was awesome. They even avoided the awkwardness of an actor who probably can't deliver a delicate line by altering the specifics the way they did, while keeping it the same in every way that matters. The starcraft analogies popping up in the other thread to describe Oberyn's mistake are funny. (and appropriate)

Jorah's banishment from Meereen felt way too rapid and even less reasonable than in the book. That scene needed more buildup. I mean wtf, a character that's been there since the beginning is almost instantly sent away out of nowhere? At least in the book Jorah's growing desires for Dany and stubbornness after given a chance to prove his worth made more sense in her decision (though I'd of still kept him around). Theon/Bolton scenes were fantastic. Loved the surrounding scenery of the North as Ramsay is raised to being a Bolton. Did not expect the Hound and Arya to make it to the Vale. I'm very uneasy about this direction. Don't know how I feel about Littlefinger and Sansa. The explanation for Lysa's death seemed a little too easy. Though, it seems like the show is actually developing Sansa into becoming a tad more politically astute and manipulative. Sophie Tuner's acting was quite good as well. The Tyrion/Jamie scene was brilliant. Dinklage is killing it this season. Sadly, Oberyn vs The Mountain was a bit of a letdown. My heart sunk more and more in realizing that we have less than 10 minutes remaining in the show and we're still not at King's Landing. Pedro Pascal was great all the way until his end, but the fight overall just felt dull and with less buildup than I'd of hoped. They made it even more obvious in the show than the books that Oberyn was fucked the moment he began to gloat. The brutality of Oberyn's death. If nothing else that was GREAT. Totally savage and bloody. Which is how I'd of hoped the rest of the fight would have gone.== Next episode looks great. The Battle of Castle Black has been wayyyy too drawn out this season. It needs to happen now and it needs to be epic.

If you look back at the scene were Ramsay becomes a bolton, it looks like its shot on the exact same location as the last scene between ned and Jon Snow. Interesting choice.

Personally I love how they did the fight, from what I remember reading in the book it wasn't really a long drawn out fight scene anyway, They altered the Mountains lines just enough to accommodate the actor's abilities the right amount of build up and the horrifyingly right amount of gore in his death imo. I quite like where they are going with Sansa right now turning into her a true player in the game from the looks of things, Sophie Turner is coming into her own as well.
