Anyways, do we know now that Jayne Westerling is in fact dead and holds no significance to future story of the books?
She's not dead. She's just held by the Lannisters.
Yes, but since they killed her in the show, it is a good indication that she won't have any major effects on the plot, meaning that she most probably will not give birth to Robb's child in the books, as some people are speculating.
Edit: THat being said, the fact that they felt they were allowed to have that toatlly different character and kill her off might mean they know something from George we dont... which is probably what you are getting at, lol.
Even the non RW scenes were great: Bran does something! Woot! And poor Rickon. And Grey Worm fights like a badass! Hell yeah! And Sam the Wizard is cute!
And I loved the little happy touches, like the guy being happy with his beautiful wife after expecting someone ugly, and Rob and his wife deciding to name their child Eddard... just to twist the knife further into nonreaders. SO GOOD. I have one friend who was completely zoned out by the end. Just completely out of it. He was in definite need of a hug

Yeah, I think it's safe to say that GRRM even made Talisa pregnant in the show and killed her off just to put to death that terrible tin-foil-hat theory that's been running rampant since that accidental description discrepancy he made between Cat and Jaime in regards to Jeyne.

She's not dead. She's just held by the Lannisters and had been given potions to keep her from getting pregnant.
What happened to Daario, Jorah, and Grey Worm? It seemed they were surrounded then they just came back victorious.
I guess the show is implying that they managed to break off from the fighting and make their way towards the leader, who is then assassinated by Daario. It's not really clear, kind of a mess up in this episode imo. I assumed that Unsullied eventually came in to storm the city but I realized Dany only ordered an infiltration, not a full on assault.

Or Tywin killed her off to deal with loose ends. :O still possible.
i'm wondering what Michelle Fairley (catelyn) is going through. her character dies and when she read the script, it would have been so hard on her... then learns she'll still be here ^_^

Honestly think it may just be some divergence from the book. There's not much room to fit that in when the season's already been pretty heavy as is, and it would likely be difficult to convey through a televised medium (much the same way they didn't explain the bread and salt).
Though tbh, the show had me going for awhile, what with the letter writing and all. I was thinking "oshi-, maybe some credence to the theory after all".

He said "Jaime Lannister sends his regards" (which then segues into resurrected Cat thinking Jaime is culpable).
EDIT: The RW took up so much of my attention, I forgot to make a Sam the Wizard joke. "This Wall is soooo wizard, Gilly." Well, he is a NW Brother, but this does confirm things. And so on...
I don't know if you guys have seen these before but here is what the croatian book series looks like. Illustrations are done by Esad Ribić(he illustrates Thor and the Silver Surfer for Marvel) A Game of Thrones + Show Spoiler +
Some images are kinda shitty, couldn't find them in better quality. I read the books in English because friends told me the Croatian translation was kinda meh, bust just bought these books afterwards because of the cowers lol, they look insanely good imo.

I really like 1st and 3rd book covers. The rest are just ok, but still better than the versions I have, which are boring as shit.
Overall good episode, there's just one thing that annoys me with Jon lately and that is that, in the books he really wanted to be with the Wildlings, he liked them and respected them. He understood their struggle and it was a really tough choice he had to make - The Nightswatch or the free folk with someone he loved. I always pictured he only left out of honor and duty or whatever, being Ned Starks son and all.
But in the series it is so freaking obvious he is a "spy" as he keeps on trying to, very obviously and openly at that, to affect them not to attack and ofcourse the give away with the old man this episode when he scares the horses. All Jons screen time with the wildlings is filled with stuff like this, very obvious hints that he is still with the watch and the viewer has no doubt at all if he will indeed go back to the watch. I guess this is probably to reduced screen time, we don´t see his interactions with Thormund and stuff, we get no real feeling he has any form of connection to the wildlings at all.
Maybe i remember wrong but it felt like his connection to the wildlings was far greater in the books and the choice was a much harder one to make. He felt very bad about it iirc.

If you know a way to convey inner monologue in a show and then patent it, you'd make the Lannisters look poor
