My roommate did tell me that the season finale was some dude didn't want to live any more so he tried to KILL THE ENTIRE CAST WITH A BOMB. Makes sense. (no)
They should've just killed everyone off there and never made another season.

Personally, i'm having a really fun time watching what's happening next, and enjoying the show.
I haven't read the graphic novel, but i'll probably pick that up towards the end of this season if i'm still enjoying it like i am

I read the comic books after this show was announced and hyped up by State of the game cast, and that's about the only good thing that came from this show, huge let down, maybe I would have liked it a little bit more if I didn't read the amazing comic books.
Think they took out the most important thing that I loved about the comics, and that is a feeling that no one is safe.
They got rid of that and inserted some pseudo religious BS, added a lot more crying and turned one off badass characters, Andrea into a dick, argh.

Really the only thing that has it going so far is how the zombies actually are well done. Its been a while since I saw season 1 and the acting is hazy but I really don't remember it being as corny as it was in the s2 premier. I guess thats mainly it S2 has just been Corny. I spent majority of the episode thinking out rationally how fail each of their actions were even if you were taking into consideration the average joe.

watched the first of season two... Don't think I have ever wanted zombies to rip people apart more.
Won't be watching simply because the people are so foolish.... why can't they take that budget... kill off the current cast and put some good characters in. Some characters that aren't all soap opera drama and more "hey lets actually do some smart things to you know... SURVIVE". Lets not take the shitty old RV and instead pick on of the many better mechanically sound vehicles that litter the highways we are traveling on. Not to mention much quieter and better mileage.
Its those little things that just annoy me and make me hate it. Love the zombies. But sadly they just don't kill the people I want them to.

BTW how did the zombies all walk by without smelling any of the group? If i recall correctly, the episode "Guts" had stated they can smell the living

I'm guessing they can only smell people up close, so their hiding places put them out of scent range.

Typical for modern television? You do realise that we are currently in a golden age for television right? Pretty much every channel other than HBO is putting out complete rubbish. There are very few shows on other channels that compare. I thought AMC was going to be the next channel putting out the quality that HBO does, but seeing what they have done to the walking dead I am definitely not feeling the same. HBO is still television so it's not "other then" it's all part of the spectrum of television. And i really feel like you don't have proper understanding of the history of television and what was being produced maybe 10-20 years ago and prior. Television has only recently begun to shed the image of being the place where poor writers go to die. Big names have started throwing their names into the mix and even succesfull movie writers have signalled intrest in wanting to jump into TV. I did not suggest that everything being produced right now is the best of the best but there has never been a better line-up of high quality shows then in the past few years. Even the reality-TV craze has been dying off altough it's doubtfull that it will ever be completely gone seeing as how cheap it is to fill airtime with.
Even the BBC is putting out some good stuff!!!

Haha, I was wondering that also  My take on it was T-dog's cut arm overpowered their smell... But even then, when Andrea was screaming in the RV the zombies should have noticed and ganged up... Like they normally do.
Worst part about the episode was the blatant Gerber Knives add.

Maybe the smell of the cars, oil, fuel, exhaust, overpowered the smell of the humans hiding beneath?
Andrea's screaming was just retarded. It couldn't have been more than a couple of meters between her and the rest of the zombies. Best part was when she kept talking to herself, quite loudly, and the zombie outside just went "nope, nothing here". Scraping together metal parts isn't exactly soundless either..but when losing one of those small metal parts on a plastic floor, you can suddenly hear it throughout the entire van?
Still, I really did like this first episode. It had its tense, awesome, scary, and funny moments.
