you get the feeling that its called a zombie series because its written by zombies. Slow moving, brainless and boring.

The comic is great because it has a nice 50/50 balance of zombies versus well done character drama. The show seems to be 70% TERRIBLE character drama. Shane and Lori are incredibly annoying, and I must say Lori is just as annoying in the comics, but at least there is a long build up until the point where you wish she would just STFU. I don't really care about any of the other characters, Andrea seems too whiny and Dale came off as desperate and pathetic. And the boy playing Carl can't act for his life.

I wish I had thread this thread before watching it, 90 minute of my life gone.

According to this website it seems like the whole premier was fucked up in a lot of ways. Which led to the firing of the head guy from season 1. Hopefully they get their shit together for the rest of the season. If it doesn't get better after a few episodes I don't know if I'll be keep watching. Even if the writing improves I don't know if I'll be able to stand the bad acting much longer either.

This is called decision and taste. This mean you don't think in black and white and don't argue with phrases like "haters gonna hate" and blame people who don't have the same opinion. If you like something and get irritated by people who dont like it, this means you will have big problems in social interaction in future. However this kind of behaviour is normal if you are 12-16. If this is the case dont worry it will go away... The frist session had a lot of potential and the people are disappointed over the last episodes. Its sad if you see something that have potential fail. Thats what we write about. Still many have the hope that they notice it and change the direction.

I don't really care about any of the other characters, Andrea seems too whiny and Dale came off as desperate and pathetic. And the boy playing Carl can't act for his life. I would hardly say that there's more zombies in the comic than in the show to be honest, I think it's fairly even throughout. Some of the moments have been rough but I find that it may just be the nature of the show at this point, with the number of characters they have and the limited time they have. In the comics there were so many characters that were just sitting around and never got developed, they were just used to develop other characters by dying or getting bitten or whatever... I think the Shane/Lori build up makes sense, but with promotional footage making it clear that he doesn't leave the group, it seems like wasted time. Andrea's character is slightly different from her comic counterpart right now but it still works. Dale does seem desperate, but more than anything he seems desperate to keep the group together. The characters all work so far. On October 18 2011 02:53 Zealotdriver wrote: Most of these characters are as dumb as rocks. They're practically brain-dead zombies already. It seems like the only one with a fucking clue is the redneck. The concept and budget gives the show such potential, yet the writers botch it. On the topic of smart zombies: This could actually benefit the show since it makes them a more serious adversary. 28 Days Later gave us fast zombies, so why not buff their intelligence stat as well? That would heavily shift the focus of the show entirely on the zombies which wasn't the point of the comic and I don't think it's the point of the show.

You know, I actually watched season one before reading the comics and I tought it was pretty good. Then I read the source material and I can say that so far only the original episode was up to standard. I'm not some retarded fanboy, but TV is so boring nowadays with few exceptions, and I had high hopes for this new season of TWD.

Even people with orange vests gets shot by other hunters in sweden from time to time. Can't wait for next episode super good imo. I'm pretty sure she knows that shooting the zombie would mean she would draw the herd and thus she would die. And given the conversation she has with the old dude, I'm pretty sure she was trying to assemble it so she could shoot herself. After all, the risk of being eaten alive was so high I think she was looking to "escape" anyway possible.

+ Show Spoiler + I wonder if so many people dislike the kid because they've neutered his character. Granted he's not a great actor, but in the comics he's a strong/interesting character once he kills Shane. With that part missing (for now at least, but it seems like a permanent omission) his character is a LOT less interesting and a lot of his other character defining stuff is either also going to be omitted or come much later. Along that line I'm REALLY disappointed that the show seems to be pulling away from the kid related drama which was some of the most powerful stuff in the books. No Billy/Ben, no Carl killing Shane, and we'll find out soon if they'll have the twin girls around to get murdered at the prison.
